Porción de la Tora LECH LECHA – B’reisheet (Génesis) 12:1-17:27

Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. Ezekiel 36:26-28

Shabbat shalom dearly beloved:

I have the enormous pleasure to let my son Yuval write most of this Shabbat letter and I know that you will be mightily blessed by it! It has the freshness of a new believer that has never been affected by Replacement Theology but rather believes Yah’s Word and Yeshua’s Gospel without any confusion and complications so prevalent in most of Christianity. Yuval is a 21st Century Messianic-Apostolic-Prophetic believer and an emerging leader in the Mighty Army of Kingdom Soldiers that is arising! He was born in Israel so he is our first generation of native born Israelis in the Land of our ancestors.

Before you read it, I feel compelled to help you understand the background. For more of Yuval’s testimony and this subject please read my book From Sickology to a Healthy Logic. I believe EVERY person in the face of the earth should read it! Find it in www.kad-esh.org/shop

Yuval tells,

2My late father was a manic-depressive non-believer. He killed himself 23 years ago, and some of his last words were, “I will never believe in God.” I believe it is possible that this vow that my father made is what caused him to take his life.

Six years after my father committed suicide I was still a non-believer. Around age 12, I was out with my mother and she was reading the Bible out loud. I felt ashamed and asked her to stop. She said, “A day will come when you will preach the Word with me.” I told her, in a similar fashion to what my father said, “I am nonconvertible.” Or in other words, “I will never believe.”

I spent most of my life as a humanistic non-believer. I didn’t understand the fact that my unbelief would be so costly, but it was very, very costly, so costly that I attempted suicide three times.

IMA (Mom) Archbishop Dominiquae adds,

After many painful and terrible hospitalizations Yuval opted to come to our Eilat Prayer Tower. For nearly two years in the Tower, Yuval underwent a thorough ‘mind wash’ as he was required to study our GRM video Bible School. He did not want this education, but had no choice because he opted to come to the Prayer Tower. He also had to join the Team in prayer at 6 PM every day. Yuval graduated from our Bible School with honors, but STILL IN UNBELIEF! 3However, his character was changing and he was becoming very respectful, loving and responsible.

Right before we closed the Eilat Prayer Tower (as the Year of Jubilee was starting), we saw a true transformation in Yuval as a result of Yah’s faithful promises. This transformation lead to me having the enormous pleasure of leading my son to Yeshua. He was baptized in the waters of the Red Sea by his adoptive dad or “Pops” as he lovingly calls him, Rabbi Baruch. Today Yuval is on fire for Yeshua and has learned valuable lessons that are shaping his present and future.

The following is an assignment I gave Yuval to write. This is the first of Yuval’s Shabbat letters. Be blessed as you read!

By Yuval the Son of YHVH

Humility, purity and holiness are some of the most foundational principles in the Bible and the Kingdom of God. When we combine all three, one word, or rather one name, comes to mind and that is YESHUA. Yeshua was and still is humble, pure and holy. Of course, the nature of Yeshua demonstrates also many other foundational principles such as obedience, righteousness, wisdom, faith, love and forgiveness. Yeshua always obeyed Yah and His commandments even when facing temptation.  He loved all humanity with sacrificial love and He forgave everyone, even those who crucified Him:

Luke 23:34a

Yeshua said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

4Perhaps the most important of these principles is holiness, since for us to be holy we must walk in both humility and purity and live according to Yah’s will. We must be obedient, righteous, wise, faithful, loving, and forgiving. God is a holy God; He is perfection and is like no other. His love is holy love, His mercy is holy mercy, and even His anger and wrath are holy anger and holy wrath. God calls us to imitate His holiness and that is done only by having a right relationship with God by believing in Yeshua as Savior (accepting His gift of eternal life). If we have not placed our faith in God’s Son to save us from our sins, then our pursuit of holiness is in vain. Being holy separates us from the rest of the world, since we have a relationship with the living God.  Therefore, we must live a set-apart life, not trying to “blend in” with the world, but instead live according to God’s Word.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

5In order for us to be humble we must fear Yah:

Proverbs 22:4

Humility is the fear of the LORD; its wages are riches and honor and life.

In addition, a reverential fear of God is the beginning of wisdom:

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Therefore, we can conclude that humility and wisdom are connected. In order for us to be humble we must be wise and vice versa. Once we are humble we open the door for God’s grace to come in but if we are proud He will oppose us:

1 Peter 5:5b

All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble

Yeshua the Messiah is the perfect example of humility and wants us to learn about being humble directly from Him:

Matthew 11:29

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

In addition, in order for us to truly be humble we must be obedient, even unto death:

Philippians 2:5-8

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Yeshua, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

6Yah calls us to walk with a pure blameless heart.

There is one very simple way to live in purity:

Psalms 119:9

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.

In order for us to see God we must be pure:

Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Purity comes from both our actions and from our thoughts; therefore, we must focus our thoughts only on things which are good:

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise—dwell on these things.

If we want to be humble, pure and holy we must repent for our sins and receive forgiveness of sin through Yeshua. We must destroy anything in our life that is destined for destruction — like idolatry, sexual immorality, pride, love of mammon (money) and usage of sinful materials such as cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, unholy movies and anything else that is immoral. If we do not walk in humility, purity and holiness we will not be able to stand against the enemy who comes to steal, kill and destroy. This is true for each and every one of us, personally, but is also true for entire nations — for example, the nation of Israel in the days of Joshua:

Joshua 7:10-12

The Lord said to Joshua, “Stand up! What are you doing down on your face? Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions. That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction.

7The main purpose of Yeshua coming to earth is so that He may destroy the works of the devil:

1 John 3:8

The one who practices sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. Yeshua appeared for this purpose—to destroy the works of the devil.

Of course, we know that “the works of the devil” is sin itself and sin is when we are lawless, not obeying the law and commandments of God:

1 John 3:4

Everyone practicing sin also practices lawlessness—indeed, sin is lawlessness.

In Hebrew, the word sin is “CHET” which means to miss the target altogether. When we are sinful we miss the purpose for which we were created – to believe in Yeshua, serve and praise and obey the Almighty God.

Once we are born again and receive forgiveness of sins through Yeshua we no longer have the need to sin as long as we are born of God:

1 John 3:9

No one born of God practices sin, because God’s seed remains in him. He cannot sin, because he is born of God.

This is true freedom from death and all its forms.  A life dedicated to Humility, Purity & Holiness:  This is True Life — a life lived more abundantly!
