“If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14

In the last 20 years of my life and service to the Messiah I have had deep within me the Cry of Revival. As a student at Christ for the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas in the year of 1990 we were encouraged to pray all the time. To the side of the main auditorium there was a small prayer room frequented by many desperate students. Some were desperate for finances, some were desperate for the salvation of their families and some to find God’s will for their lives. I was desperate for a TRUE Holy Fire Revival. One day after the main session I entered the prayer room, stirred up to the depth of my spirit, crying from the wells of deep within. A force much stronger than my own welled within me with a heart rendering cry:

Revival is here but you don’t want it, I screamed in a prophetic, urgent voice and then I kept wailing and weeping for a generation that talked about revival, prayed for revival but did not really want it. As a student body we had just watched a movie about China and revival in that vast land. You could see a true move of the Spirit in spite of all opposition and persecution or maybe BECAUSE of it! This was no “sugar coated gospel” but rather that Gospel made in Zion, (as I call it), that demands total obedience and the loss of one’s life in order to find it. This was a Gospel calling us to true repentance and to a radical walk of righteousness accompanied with inevitable signs, wonders and miracles. This kind of Gospel puts a demand on your entire life!

"He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 10:39

Having had a Road to Damascus salvation experience in Israel where Y’shua called me to Himself in a dramatic supernatural manner while guiding a group of Catholics through God’s Holy Land, I only knew the RADICAL GOSPEL as it was preached to me DIRECTLY by the Holy Spirit! When I met other Christians in the USA I saw that I was “too radical” for most of them. I believed in the importance of holiness and righteousness, of daily repentance and of a careful walk of total obedience. I believe that YHVH is a Living God and that when you pray miracles happen all the time! Very soon I found that I was “too hot” for most Christians around me. I still remember one day as I was standing next to a very nice girl in one of my classes at CFNI Bible School, she began to shake like a leaf! She said to me that my very presence caused her to shake and repent. When I was doing my duties as a scholarship student in the Gymnasium, I had many that would just come to see me for prayer or for a prophetic word. I was very concerned: “Why so many people could not do their own prayers or pull on God by themselves for a word or a miracle? For me this was normal life but I soon discovered that most believers around me had real trouble hearing the Voice of Yah (God). I realized that the problem of not hearing the Voice of Abba clearly laid within their own Christianity.

“He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, even his prayer is an abomination.”  Proverbs 28:9

Most of the people around me believed that the Law was done away with because now we are in the dispensation of Grace. They believed that the God of the New Testament is a God of grace, like a big granddaddy that “understands” everything, so if we sin He “understands”. So the word grace was used as a license for sin.  If He calls us to do something it is ok to say NO or WAIT to the Almighty! I was appalled! How could we say NO to the Lord of the Universe? Who do we think we are? There were only two people that said no to the Almighty in the Holy Scriptures: One was swallowed by a big fish (Jonah) and the other one was nearly crashed under his own donkey (Balaam: Numbers 22:29-32)!

“What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?” Romans 6:1-2

So many times I wandered why nearly every preacher had a story of backsliding prior to their final surrender to the Call to preach. Why so many of them escaped their calling constantly and YHVH had to almost kill them before they answered? This kind of Christianity was strange to me. As a Jew I knew that God was to be feared above all and that when He spoke one must answer. I feared YHVH much more than I feared the devil or the circumstances! But this kind of Fear of Yah was not popular at all. Most people feared satan, circumstances, people and lack of money more than they feared the Creator of the Universe. Unfortunately most people are still operating this way today and many think that speaking in tongues, signs, wonders and miracles is the goal of revival. From an early age as a believer I knew that the goal of revival is to raise up a Holy and Righteous People that YHVH would be pleased with; and thanks to Y’shua this goal is made possible! Because the Messiah made it, we could also make it.  He is our example! I realized that most people were deriving their life example from Fallen Adam and not from the Last Adam-Y’shua.  So they were full of excuses for their lukewarm lifestyles. Most people would not confess their sins but rather cover them. Many big name preachers fell and caused the fall of many because of covering sin up rather than exposing it to the light and confessing it. Just like King Saul of old they feared the people much more than Almighty God! To this day the word: Confession, Repentance and Obedience are not very popular words amongst Western Christians. All these words sound “too religious” and “demanding” so they are almost never heard in the pulpits. “We don’t want to put people under the law” they say, but they are communicating lawlessness! There is a big difference between a religious self righteous spirit and between a lawful spirit! Y’shua did not come to teach us to break the Laws of God! Quite on the contrary, He came to teach us perfect obedience and to strive towards it with the help of the HOLY Spirit!      (Matthew 5:17-21, 48)

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” Matthew 7:21

The signs, the wonders and the miracles are for the purpose of raising a Holy and Righteous People for the Lord. These are tools in our hands in order to administer the full package of redemption but they are definitely not the goal of the Gospel. Just like Moses of old, Y’shua is calling all His People to come and worship the Father in Spirit and Truth away from the slavery of Egypt and the sins of this world! The purpose of deliverance was and will always be:  Obedient Worshippers in Spirit and in TRUTH! By worshippers I do not mean singers but rather SERVANTS of the Most High that do all of His bidding! Some of them will be singers, musicians and dancers, but many of them will be mothers, fathers, businessmen and women, gardeners, preachers, civil servants etc…His purpose is to have a Holy People that is a Royal Priesthood and a Holy Nation; A people that all of humanity can look up to. For the most part the people of the world are “church resistant” as they have seen too many lukewarm Christians and too many backslidden preachers that live dual lives: They exhort in the pulpit but as soon as they are home they behave quite differently!

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.” 1 Peter 2:9-11

As the Cry for Revival continues we must return to the original Hebrew Foundations of Faith that was common to the Early Messianic Body in Jerusalem. They feared YAH greatly and Y’shua moved through them with awesome signs and wonders. They were so full of the HOLY Spirit that other non believing Jews feared them. They were not the “sugar of the earth” but rather the SALT OF THE EARTH!

“At the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people; and they were all with one accord in Solomon's portico. But none of the rest dared to associate with them; however, the people held them in high esteem.” Acts 5:12-13

 I asked the Father why is it that all the so called revivals of the last 20 years die quickly and change almost nothing. He told me the following:

Because they do not repent from their wicked ways!

Notice the words HUMBLE-PRAY-SEEK-TURN-HEAR-FORGIVE-HEAL

All the last “revivals” have placed an emphasis on prayer and seeking but none of them have emphasized TURNING or REPENTING. There is no true healing of the land without it! Our seeking if it is a true seeking must lead us to repentance and the fruit of repentance which is a radical lifestyle of obedience and worship. If “revivals” do not lead us there, they will dry up regardless of how many people got healed and how much publicity it gets. It is time to hear the word REPENT, SIN and OBEDIENCE preached from the pulpits followed by radically obedient preachers and saints that can set a clear example before  a very immoral, wicked and perverted generation! It is not enough to have great compassion for the lost, we must also be a great example of radically transformed lives that love the Laws of Yah and cherishes on the healthy Fear of YHVH. Compassion without TRUTH can be a deadly weapon. It is BOTH TRUTH and MERCY that must kiss each other and get married if we are to have a true End Time Revival and Spiritual Tsunami!

“Mercy and truth have met together;Righteousness and peace have kissed.” Psalms 85:10

Do we really want revival? Then it is here, knocking at the door…Let us humble ourselves, pray from the depth of our hearts, seek His face at all times, confess and repent from our sins, stop hiding! Then He will hear, forgive and heal and use us mightily to lead many in the same path!

Still crying out for a true Holy Fire REVIVAL that will cause Israel to come to ATTENTION!

"Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send Y’shua, the Messiah appointed for you, whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.”  Acts 3:19-21
