“If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”   2 Chronicles 7:14

The breakout of both personal and national revival is always a by- product of REPENTANCE. Repentance in Hebrew is the word TESHUVA which means to GO BAK or to RETURN. Teshuva also means ANSWER in Hebrew, and indeed REPENTANCE (TESHUVA-RETURNING) is the ANSWER (TESHUVA!) to all personal and social ailments. Most people think that deliverance from evil spirits lead people to repent and to stop sinning.  So they cast devils out of unrepentant people with shallow results in the good case, and in the bad case devastating results for seven more wicked devils will surely come back.

"Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it. "Then it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came'; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. "Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation."  Matthew 12:43-45

Prior to administer deliverance, repentance is needed just like in the case of the demoniac from the Gadarenes. Though he was plagued with a legion of demons, yet he threw himself at the feet of Y’shua and worshipped Him- He was REPENTANT!

“Because he had often been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him and the shackles broken in pieces, and no one was strong enough to subdue him. Constantly, night and day, he was screaming among the tombs and in the mountains, and gashing himself with stones. When he saw Y’shua from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.”   Mark 5:5-6

All throughout the Scriptures REPENTANCE is the condition for revival and for blessing. It is time that we GO BACK TO THE BASICS of our faith, to its original Hebrew foundations and so we will find rest for our souls.

“Thus says the Lord, "Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your souls.  But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'”  Jeremiah 6:16

Y’shua spoke to His beloved Yochanan (John) in the Isle of Patmos through an anointed allegory of a lover knocking on the door of his beloved.

‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 'He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.  'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"  Revelation 3:20-22

This particular message was written to what could very well be a representation of today’s Church! It was a lukewarm church and an overfed one. So it is today, anyone that wants can own a few Bibles in all versions available + endless commentaries. We can open the TV and see God TV, Sky Angel, TBN, Global Network, Enlace and so forth. We can run to endless “revivals” and campaigns pursuing all the ministers that carry the power, the anointing and the fire. Yet it avails us nothing but a “quick fix” and not true transformation. What is missing is simple REPENTANCE, going back to the basics. What are the basics you may ask? Please consider carefully this MENORAH REVELATION (Seven Fold):

Basic # 1- Be filled with the Spirit and pray in tongues all day long! Most people backslide because of self-reliance! Praying in the Spirit throughout the day will keep us wired UPWARD and IN TUNE with Y’shua!

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,”  Jude 20

Basic # 2- Meditate on the Word of God day and night! Our thought life influences our entire being! Joshua and Caleb were filled with YHVH’s Word and when they came back from spying Canaan they had a good report, while the other spies were meditating on the circumstances and saw themselves as grass-hopers in front of these giants. The way you THINK determines your attitude and behavior!

"This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success”  Joshua 1:8

Basic # 3- Declare the Word of God! What are your lips uttering all day long? Are you a complainer?  Do you use self defeating and negative words? Is your tongue HOLY? Do you know that we will be judged for EVERY vain word we speak?

"But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."  Matthew 12:36-37

This is such an important issue that our life depends on it. Will we agree with Yah’s words or with the enemy’s? This choice alone can cause a huge turn of events in your life and society! Prophet Ezekiel’s prophetic words are still being fulfilled this day in Israel even thousands of years later!

“With the fruit of a man's mouth his stomach will be satisfied;  He will be satisfied with the product of his lips.”  Proverbs 18:20

Basic # 4- Maintain a Clean and FORGIVING heart! Most diseases are connected with the condition of our hearts. Roots of bitterness cause people to be sick in mind and body! A clean heart is humble and forgives easily. An impure idolatrous heart tends to nurse grudges, is full of self pity and revenge, and develops a “victim mentality”. If everyone “owes you” it is time to REPENT and obey Y’shua’s instructions concerning forgiveness. They are VERY CLEAR!

"For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. "But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.”  Matthew 6:14-15

I have never seen anyone benefiting from un-forgiveness, have you? Yah’s Word says that the root of bitterness is as infectious as the worst viral disease.  In fact they defile many; it can cause a plague of bitterness, hatred and negativity!  Flee from it as from the Bubonic Plague!

“See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;”  Hebrews 12:15

Basic # 5- Cultivate an ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE. This simple but great truth makes the difference between a negative and harmful human being and a positive person that is a blessing to Mankind! To thank God about and IN ALL THINGS is not a suggestion.  It is a Commandment as serious as the FIRST of the 10 Commandments! If we thank Him in EVERYTHING it’s because He is NUMBER ONE in our lives. We see Him as Lord over all, as the most powerful as faithful and true. We are sure that He can be trusted even when we can’t! Then we know deep inside of our hearts that ALL things work together for good for us because we love Him (Commandment #1!), and we are called according to His purposes! (Romans 8:23)

“In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in the Messiah Yeshua”.   1 Thessalonians 5:18

Failing to obey this instruction caused an entire generation of Israelis to die in the desert! Are you dying in a spiritual desert?  REPENT from all complaints and murmurings and start to thank YHVH about everything and in everything! Very soon you will feel the Presence of His Holy Spirit again and your relationship with Him will be restored. Have you thanked Him for the things that you take for granted like the ability to READ this letter or to SPEAK and THINK?

Basic # 6- INTEGRITY- Do what you know to be right at all times!  Do not betray your conscience because of convenience or fear of man. Many times I have heard that people accuse the Christians of being “hypocrites”, they say one thing and do another. Sometimes we need the world to rebuke us! Are you the same in your home and out of it? Are you righteous, holy and moral when you are alone as well as when people are watching? Do you compromise your moral standards in order to be “accepted”? If so, REPENT my friend go back to basics and DO what’s right at ALL times! The fear of man is a trap of the enemy! Y’shua rebuked the hypocrisy of the Pharisees more than any other sin. He forgave the REPENTANT prostitute and rebuked the religious hypocrites! Walk carefully without betraying your Master in your life behavior!

“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”  Micah 6:8

What do you expect people to do unto you, you do unto them! Yesterday I was at the spa inside a very nice Jacuzzi. I love Jacuzzis as I can relax, talk to Yah and pray at leisure. The receptionist came to close the door to the precinct where the hot tub was. I asked her not to do it because of the fumes of the chlorine. She said it bothered her too all the way to the reception! She, being the worker should have complied with me the client. She did it reluctantly because she did not like the fumes either! It took me 5 minutes to decide that I would not betray my integrity because I enjoyed the Jacuzzi, I was really fighting with what I WANTED to do (enjoy the Jacuzzi) and what I NEEDED to do according to my integrity . I came out, closed the door and left the cozy hot tub. I let her know that I gave her needs preeminence over mine (though I am the client!). She lit up! From that moment on everywhere I turned people were trying to help me and give me preeminence. It was incredible! An anointing of favor on my behalf was released. Integrity says that I must “love my neighbor as myself”.

“But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

Basic # 7-Obey the Holy Spirit promptly! Cultivate an attitude of reverence towards the Holy God inside of you. Do not take His promptings lightly. What makes you and I a son/daughter of God is that we are LED by the Spirit of God. Many people overlook the instructions and light promptings of the Spirit. That is a sure way to lose the anointing in your life, the intimacy with Y’shua and of course it can cause you to fall into a “ditch”!

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. …. "You are My friends if you do what I command you.”  John 15:7,14

Are you a friend or a slave? The difference between the two is that a friend LOVES to follow Y’shua’s Commands wholeheartedly and a slave feigns obedience outwardly, but takes the instruction lightly and fumes in his heart. The attitude of humility and obedience must accompany the act! Can you imagine a situation when all your prayers are answered because of your deep friendship with the Master of the Universe? Would that cause revival to breakout wherever you go?

I will add here one more basic principle that I call the Key of Abraham,

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:  “May they prosper who love you.”  Psalms 122:6

When you care to love, pray and do for the wellbeing of Jerusalem, Israel and the Jewish People-YHVH takes notice of you, your people and your needs! Please keep Israel seriously in your prayers as the enemies such as Hizbulla, Hamas and Iran are threatening daily and seriously. Pray for Israel’s protection according to Zechariah 12:4 and Jeremiah 20:11

As you do so for Israel, may the Almighty hear your prayers and heal your land!
