Cry of Revival # 43 He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven." Genesis 28:17 Shabbat shalom dearly beloved: I was in my prayer retreat this month preparing for the monthly meeting of the believers in Eilat, here in Israel that we call “The Feast of The King”. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said “Every home a Bethel”. Beth-El means in Hebrew The House of God. He was admonishing that I was to call the believers in the city to make their homes an Alter of prayer and worship, a place where the Glory of Yah (God) dwells. *Every home a Bethel* became a “Rhema” word in my heart and I conveyed it to the people. The following morning after the meeting I woke up with this thought in my heart: “When the heart is a Bethel, the home becomes a Bethel”. If our hearts are places of holiness, prayer and worship then it gathers that our very presence will transform our homes to such a place- A Bethel. The KEY is the heart, where is our heart, what is our heart doing? What is it meditating on, what is it beholding? We really become what we “behold”, what we ENVISION. I will sing of lovingkindness and justice, to You, O LORD, I will sing praises. I will give heed to the blameless way when will You come to me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me. Psalms 101:1-3 King David that wrote this Psalm knew that whatever he did in his home affected his life. It was not enough for him to be dressed with Royal Robes in the court and to “look good” to others, no! He needed to look good before Elohim most particularly. He was aware that he could not hide before The Almighty! He had learnt a lesson from his previous sin, that God knows EVERYTHING! So, he dedicated his heart and his home to be a place of WORSHIP. Every home a Bethel, every home an alter of prayer and worship Is the answer for these times. All social changes begin with the individual and then with his extended circle, his family, then with our neighbors and the society we live in. Global, cosmic change starts with ME, with YOU! So many go to church but their homes is a door of hell instead of being a Gate of Heaven with angels coming up and down! Most people’s homes are not a place of rest neither for people, nor for the Holy Spirit! They are not a Beth-El but a Beth-Hell! I can hear the thoughts of some saying: But Bishop my husband does not believe, my wife does not believe, my children do not share the same faith…How am I to make my home a BETHEL? Most have undermined “the Power of One”. One righteous person can make a difference in an entire nation! One Uncompromised Righteous Person can bring about a world change. Just remember Noah. His wife and sons are not mentioned as righteous, they may have not believed like him, but his faith rescued them all and that man against all odds had made his heart and his home a BETHEL. Then he went ahead and he built an Ark to be a Bethel for as many as would heed the warning in times of the terrible storm! Unfortunately the only ones that heeded the warning of the impending judgment were the animals! One righteous man or woman can change their homes and the world! The curse of YHVH is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the dwelling of the righteous. Proverbs 3:33 If you are the only righteous in your home that decided to walk holy, in worship, prayer and obedience, then your house is “the house of the righteous” and His blessing will be there! His spirit and presence will dwell there with you and through you! Light is stronger than darkness! Let us see the decisions that King David made: 1. Constant praise and worship in his home! I will sing of lovingkindness and justice, to You, O LORD, I will sing praises. Psalms 101:1 He would sing and worship about the Character (lovingkindness) and the Precepts (Justice) of the Living God. He was singing the Torah all day long! His worship was based on Scripture declaration of both Yah’s Promises and His Commandments! Wow! That’s powerful! That creates an atmosphere of faith and of the Fear of YHVH! Notice that he was singing to the Lord, not “preaching to people”. In other words his attention was UPWARD! He was sowing into the spirit and he would reap His blessing! He was building a Throne to the Almighty in His own home! Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel. Psalms 22:3 His house became a BETHEL by the mere fact that David built a Throne to YHVH in his heart and in his home through praise and faith. Today we can do that ourselves and on top of it with the help of technology we can have a play continuous machine broadcasting praise and worship music in our home, in our room 24/7! We have done that in our home for many years now and it works marvels! It totally changes the atmosphere of our home. People feel when they come in that there is a powerful presence in our home, both believers and unbelievers! Of course it is not enough to have “the machine” do it, we need to join in too and have our hearts and mouth engaged in praise, prayer and word declaration! Them the atmosphere in your heart and home will be Heavenly even if you are the only believer! 2. Walking in purity with a clean heart Psalms 101:2 In Hebrew the word for “blameless” is TAMIM. That same word is used for a pure child that has no guile and has never been corrupted. Another way to see it is “I will walk in PURITY. And his question was “when will you come to me?”. My heart is dedicated as an alter of purity with no corruption (no bitterness, jealousy, pouting, reviling, unforgiveness, lustful desires, etc…), when will I see you? He knew that PURITY attracts a visitation from the Living God! A manifestation of His Kingdom and Glory, we can have OPEN VISIONS when we walk in PURITY, with a PURE HEART! It is totally impossible to maintain our hearts pure without continuous prayer. Prayer in the spirit (tongues) and in the understanding will keep us “plugged into the Mains” that is the Spirit of the Living God! Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2 The pure in heart are not necessarily perfect people, but they have a pure heart, a clean heart and are humble and willing to be INSTRUCTED! Their ears are open to the Living Torah and Holy Spirit’s instructions, “the blameless way”. They are listening for Him with child like faith! Beloved you do not need a professional worship team or music band with all “the whistles” to turn a place into a Bethel. The only thing that is needed is honest, humble seekers with a pure heart and child like faith. That has been the secret of all revivals. We need to go back to the “basics” and become pure and simple in our seeking first in our hearts, then in our homes and then in our Congregation. When a group of honest, humble, pure, childlike seekers gather ...A revival is on the way! Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall SEE God.
