THE EILAT REPORT #7
He who shuts his ear to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be answered. Proverbs 21:13
Shabbat shalom dearly beloved:
One of the most important ministries of the End Times and especially here in Israel is the Ministry of Humanitarian Aid. Many times people will not respond to a frontal Gospel, but they will respond to unconditional love and kindness. Many years ago Rabbi and I started our first Humanitarian “Joseph Centre” in South Tel Aviv. We started on Passover about 10 years ago when people get rid of their old clothes and furniture. Sometimes those clothes are brand new and so is the furniture, especially in upper class areas so we ended having a glorious array of goods for our brand new centre. We carried all the goods on top of the roof of our family car and of course we ruined the car doing so, but 
we had no other choice, no van, no help, and no finances for this venture. We only had faith motivated by the LOVE of Y’shua!
Later on we connected with MJAA (Messianic Jewish Alliance of America) who was planning to start an entire Humanitarian Aid Project that today it is called the Joseph Project. Their representative, a dear brother slept in our home in Herzlyah, Israel as we assisted him with prayer and lodging to prepare for this blessed venture. Today “The Joseph Project” of the MJAA has many centres in Israel and it has received special recognition from the government for its help during the Second War with Lebanon and other needs.
When we arrived to Eilat, we thought of opening another centre here and indeed Yah heard the “Cry of the Poor” and teamed us up with the local Messianic Russian Pastor Yuri for the venture!
We have officially opened The “Emmanuel Project” in Eilat with the help of “The Joseph Project” organization-It was such a joy to see the truck full of goods arrive from the far away city of Netanyah (about 5 hours driving from Eilat!).
Eilat is so disconnected from the rest of Israel and even from the rest of the Body of Messiah and all its “happenings”; that having this truck arrive to the Desert after a long drive of about 5-6 hours was a miracle! We felt that we were making history and connecting the Work of the Lord in Eilat with the rest of the country!
Pastor Yuri and his people organized everything so nicely as we gathered together the two partner ministries to praise Yah for His goodness and to dedicate “The Emmanuel Project” to Him. Many people have already been coming and going and many miracles are “in the making”. A Russian magazine allowed us to put an article there for FREE and asked Pastor Yuri to explain in the article why should Jews believe in Y’shua! That same magazine rejected anything connected with the Gospel a year earlier! But during this last year there have been MANY prayer sessions in our Prayer Tower and we can see the Hand of God working in Eilat!
THE THREE STEP PROJECT
1. Clothes and Goods- It is being accomplished praise Yah!
2. Our next step is to have food to distribute as well. Please be praying for favour and finances so we can feed the poor families of Eilat. Our vision is to feed at least 100 families monthly to start with.
3. A Ministry of deliverance and rehabilitation for drug/alcohol addicts
Pastor Yuri and his people are eager to advance into the next steps, we are eager to facilitate and help in this happening! In times past we used to have a house for addicts in Tel Aviv, they were mostly Russian. Eilat has absolutely NO solution for them! There are many addicts in the city and not one rehabilitation centre. This vacuum can be a great blessing as it can be filled by the local Body and the Love of Messiah.
We ask you to be praying seriously for “The Emmanuel Project” to come to its FULLNESS as we are able to move into all that He has placed in our hearts to do.
We want to thank all of you for your partnership in the Gospel here in Eilat and in Israel. Your prayers and finances are enabling us to live in Eilat, the desert of Israel, far away from the rest of the country and with many additional expenses because of it. It is enabling us to keep the Worship Living Tower going with prayer and worship from brothers and sisters from the nations that come and go as volunteers to pray for the Revival of Eilat, to worship, to study and to assist in practical things. It is enabling us t
o reach out to the local people with the Gospel and practical help and to the local Body. And it is enabling us to keep coming and going from the hospital in Tel Aviv Area, where our son Yuval is still hospitalized until the full manifestation of Yah’s promised miracle. Without your selfless love, prayers and financial support, we surely could not do all this.
