“Jealousy is cruel as the grave” Song of Songs 8:6
Shabbat shalom dearly beloved:
As we fast approach the Feast of Esther and the appointed; joyous festival of Purim, we are reminded of a great victory against the evil Haman that had plotted to annihilate the Jewish nation and all because of jealousy. Haman, being an Amalekite and the right hand of the king of Persia had jealousy against the People of the Covenant boiling in his blood, just like satan carries jealousy against all humankind boiling in his heart. Just like then also today that same spirit of Haman, Amalek, Islam, Ishmael, Esau and Anti-Semitism, Anti-Jewish, Ant-Zionist and the like are still plotting and planning to annihilate Israel. All this because of jealousy! (See Book of Esther)
Ishmael was so jealous when Isaac was born, that Sarah had to demand for him to be removed from her house. Jealousy manifests through MOCKERY and it must be banished away as if threatens the fulfillment of the Promise!
And the child grew and was weaned, and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned. Now Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking [Isaac]. Therefore she said to Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son, for the son of this bondwoman shall not be an heir with my son Isaac .Genesis 21:8-10
Many times parents take very lightly the jealousy of one of their children towards another. It should not be so, jealousy is an evil spirit and it needs to be both cast out (deliverance) after it is also exposed to the light of TRUTH. There is nothing “natural” about being jealous of another person or nation, it is DEMONIC. In fact one of the 10 Commandments is “you shall not COVET”. Jealousy causes “coveting” and it is a sin punishable by death.
You shall not covet your neighbour’s house, your neighbour’s wife, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbour’s. Exodus 20:17
The first murder in history occurred because of jealousy and every destructive power struggle is born of jealousy!
But for Cain and his offering He had no respect or regard. So Cain was exceedingly angry and indignant, and he looked sad and depressed. And the Lord said to Cain, Why are you angry? And why do you look sad and depressed and dejected? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you, but you must master it. And Cain said to his brother; Let us go out to the field. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. Genesis 4:5-8
Cain was so jealous of his brother Abel, because Abel’s offering had been accepted by Elohim that he rose and murdered his brother because of JEALOUSY. Jealousy is satan’s attribute and is a murderous spirit.
Every time that we are angry because YHVH blesses someone else or chooses someone else over us, we are harbouring a spirit of MURDER.
Many churches and congregations are plagued with this spirit disguised under hypocritical smiles and “I love you brother/sister”. Those spirits murder their victims by thought, word or deed. All gossip and slander originates from JEALOUSY!
Please notice that jealousy causes DEPRESSION!
When Elohim accepted Abel’s offering over his he became DEPRESSED!
So Cain was exceedingly angry and indignant, and he looked sad and depressed. And the Lord said to Cain, Why are you angry? And why do you look sad and depressed and dejected? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you, but you must master it. Genesis 4:5, 6
Jealousy is the culprit for all rebellions starting with the first one in Heaven. Lucifer was JEALOUS of Adam, the Crown of God’s Creation! He wanted to be “like Elohim” or in the image of Elohim in order to usurp Adam’s place. He was created as the HIGHEST angel but still LOWER than Mankind! Lucifer’s jealousy caused his FALL and the FALL of Man.
How have you fallen from heaven, O light-bringer and daystar, son of the morning! How you have been cut down to the ground, you who weakened and laid low the nations [O blasphemous, satanic king of Babylon!] And you said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit upon the mount of assembly in the uttermost north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High. Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol (Hades), to the innermost recesses of the pit (the region of the dead). Isaiah 14:12-15 Amplified Bible.
Only Adam (male and female) are created LIKE the Most High!
So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27
Lucifer was JEALOUS of Adam and still is! That is why he is always tripping you up so you won’t succeed! Jealous people cannot stand the success of someone else and try to weaken them through gossip, slander and other means. Always try to “muddy” their reputation and use lies, manipulation, conniving and even praying against them which is a type of witchcraft. That is why satan is also called “The Accuser of the Brethren that accuses them day and night”.
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Messiah have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10
When JEALOUSY is defeated the Kingdom of God can advance. If you are experiencing hindrances in your ministry and in your relationship, search for the Root of Jealousy. Brothers are jealous against brothers and even children are jealous against parents and especially parents in the Ministry!
Do you know the “Preacher’s Kid” syndrome? Even though it can be that many preachers are at fault, remember that many children are angry with their parents because they seem to love God more than them and put God and His will FIRST. This is a very dangerous trick of the enemy and it needs to be addressed with TRUTH, LOVE and AUTHORITY. You may need to pray, repent, fast and cast out that spirit of jealousy from your kids and family. I say REPENT also because maybe you have neglected your duties as a father, husband or mother. Nevertheless this may not be the case and it only may be satan trying to destroy you, but do not let it go unchecked! It is very dangerous!
Satan caused enmity in Elohim’s kids in the Garden of Eden because of the same covetousness and jealousy. He planted jealousy against God in the woman’s heart!
The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:4, 5
He polluted the woman with the same kind of covetousness and jealousy to eat of the forbidden tree. Coveting what is forbidden and what is not lawfully yours is JEALOUSY and it brings death and destruction!
In the same way the Gentiles rose up against the Jews in the 1700 years ago and because of JEALOUSY implemented a deathly council, called the council of Nicaea that has caused the murder of millions of Jews until now! All because Emperor Constantine and many of the Gentile Bishops could not stand that Israel was forever CHOSEN of God even in her unbelief they proclaimed that the Church is now Israel. They proclaimed that God forsook the Jews in favor of the Gentiles and they banned everything that seemed Jewish, including the Eternal Torah that was labeled “Old Testament”. All because of jealousy!
We ought not therefore to have anything in common with the Jew, for the Saviour has shown us another way; our worship following a more legitimate and more convenient course (the order of the days of the week: And consequently in unanimously adopting this mode, we desire, dearest brethren to separate ourselves from the detestable company of the Jew. Anti=Semitism or Anti-Zionism of any sort is an outcome of JEALOUSY. When we refuse to accept the fact that Elohim chooses whom He chooses according to His perfect Will, then we let the devil of jealousy to possess our lives! Elohim has chosen Israel forever as His First Born and Jerusalem forever as His capital, his footstool and the Throne of the Lord. And He has chosen to give the entire Land of Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates to His People, Israel! Anyone that contests this fact is functioning under the Spirit of Jealousy and will be cast down! (Jeremiah 3:17, Joel 3, Isaiah 34, Psalms 105:10-11, Romans 11:15-25)
Wrath is fierce and anger is a flood, but who can stand before jealousy? Proverbs 27:4
The desire of the Lord is to uproot JEALOUSY from our lives, from our families, from His Body and from the nations. Jealousy is so destructive that it causes the collapse of all life. The bones are the supportive structure of our Body and in the bone marrow lives our immune system. When our bones are destroyed, our life is destroyed! Jealousy brings ROTTENNESS to the bones!
A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones. Proverbs 14:30 Amplified Bible
And He will raise up a signal for the nations and will assemble the outcasts of Israel and will gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. The envy and jealousy of Ephraim also shall depart, and they who vex and harass Judah from outside or inside shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex and harass Ephraim. Isaiah 11:12, 13 Amplified Bible
JEALOUSY destroys us from OUTSIDE when others are jealous against us and rise up to murder us in thought, word (gossip and slander) or deed like Cain murdered Abel. Also JEALOUSY destroys us from INSIDE when we harbour it.
The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8
Let us give a DEATH BLOW to Jealousy and LOVE the brethren and LOVE Israel actively! Jealousy is defeated by ACTIVE LOVE!
