WOMANOPHOBIA Part 2
It is a coined word that describes the following:
The irrational fear of letting a woman have a position of leadership, especially in the Church.
It is comprised of two words:
1. WOMAN i.e. a human of Female Gender created in the Image and likeness of Elohim, the Creator! So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
2. PHOBIA is an intense, irrational, unrealistic fear, which can interfere with the ability to socialize, work, or go about everyday life that is brought on by an object, event or situation and is regarded as a mental disorder.
For example if someone is bit by a dog, may develop a fear against all dogs. Such person would never come close to a canine, purchase one or enjoy its wonderful company- he has developed an irrational fear that will prevent him from enjoying one.
A Phobia comes accompanied by a spirit of fear. The Scriptures tell us that God has not given us a spirit of fear.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
We believe that when people have strong reactions of rejection against women in ministry it is irrational, unrealistic and it paralizes the Body of Y’shua so it cannot function properly. By the end of these two part message, you will know why it is imperative that we get rid of Womanophobia once and for all as it is OBSTRUCTING revival and the Move of the Spirit. The first part of this Urgent Message is Rabbi Baruch’s testimony as an ex-persecutor of women in leadership. The Second Part he will take you through the Scriptures from the original Greek language and your eyes will be opened to the Truth. That BOTH male and female are created in the Image of Elohim, the Creator and BOTH are called to be fruitful, to multiply and to RULE in this earth. Both men and women are called to be priests and kings unto our God! The Almighty used Deborah as the Prophet and the Judge of all of Israel, she taught men the Torah in the Old Covenant times... The New Covenant is established on better promises and that includes in what concerns WOMEN!
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Messiah Y’shua. Galatians 3:28
We all have the same Holy Spirit and she is no respecter of persons!
Spirit/Ruach in Hebrew is of feminine gender as in Genesis 1:2
Ruach Elohim Merachefet al pnei hamayim.
The Spirit of the Creator was floating/fluttering/dancing as a female over the waters (Merachefet is female! Male would be Merachef!)
Rabbi Baruch CONTINUES telling his story
Praise God that everyone was brought out of prison that same night but none were allowed to preach any more in India since they had marked their passports. Since I was not arrested then I was free to continue the ministry and now I had to fill in for all the other ones which mean that I was very busy and could not continue writing my teaching on Women in Ministry that I had started!
About one year later at 9 PM I was reading my Bible on 2 Corinthians 8:10 and some words jumped out of the page where it said “you started something a year ago…” I felt that the Lord was speaking to me about something I had started a year ago, so I started searching my thoughts and I was asking myself for hours “what is it that you started a year ago, Baruch?” I spent a whole sleepless night pondering and wandering until 6 o’clock in the morning! Exactly at 6 AM my wife, Dominiquae came down wandering why I had not been in bed for the whole night.
I answered her that “I know that the Lord is speaking to me to finish something that I had started a year ago and the only thing that I can remember is writing a teaching about Women in Ministry!” As those words came out of my mouth, I realized that I had the answer all along! God wanted me to write on Women in Ministry and finish my research in order to set many people free! He made sure that I would not sleep or rest untilI did this important, holy work! As I started this teaching I received some tapes from a friend. This was a research done by Pastor Dave Johnson from Open Doors Ministries. Dave had found that every time that he and his eldership would pray about assigning people to leadership positions, they would get women’s names from the Holy Spirit! Puzzled about all this he decided to research the Scripture all the way from the original Greek about the subject. Dave Johnson happened to be a Greek Scholar. And here I was listening to his very enlightening and well researched study.
What I will do now is to expound the Scriptures about women from the original Greek and you will see by the preponderance of evidence that YHVH –God is not against women in leadership positions but quite the opposite! However it seems to the naked eye that From the Woman in the Garden in the Book of Genesis to The Harlot of Babylon in the Book of Revelation, evidence points that women are evil and not to be trusted, certainly not in leadership positions! The strongest preacher against women seems to be Paul the Apostle himself! Throughout the Scriptures I only found one verse that seems to contend with all of that, also written by Apostle Paul: Galatians 3:28
Every theologian knows that you cannot establish doctrine on the basis of one Scripture. So now stated my challenge to find out from the original Greek and Hebrew what did all the other seemingly hostile scriptures to women really meant. So let us start from the beginning from the Garden of Eden. Elohim-God created male and female in His image and likeness, in other words women and men are made in His likeness and not just men.
Genesis 1:
In the Garden we always blame the Woman, she ate of the forbidden fruit which is true, however it says that the Man was there with her. So, this would cause us to wander why did he not stop her? Certainly Man was to blame for the Fall as well. He was equally guilty since he could have stopped her just like an accomplice to a crime is equally responsible and guilty. However in history the only one blamed, put down and humiliated has been the Woman. This brings me to meet a special Woman of God called “Deborah the Prophetess”.
Everyone knew Deborah as the Judge and leader of Israel. When Barak the Army Commander came to her and asked her to accompany him as he fought against Midian. She replied, “ok I will go, but the glory for the victory will be then given to a woman”. We know by the end of the story in Judges chapter 5 that the woman that beheaded Sisra, the captain of the Canaaniteswas a Kenite woman by the name of Yael! So, God used two women to bring victory to Israel! (Judges 5)
One must also remember Hulda the prophetess that at a time of great apostasy in Israel she was the only “man” that knew the Torah and had the Prophetic Word and guidance for the hour. The King of Judah Josiah and Hilkiah the High Priest sought her for council and Prophetic Leadership after finding the scrolls of the Book of the Law buried under the debris of the Holy Temple. They had read that God was angry with the sins of His people for breaking His Commandments and did not know what to do to avert the judgment so they sought for the only person that knew Elohim-God enough to lead them into repentance.Had it not been for Hulda’s leadership King Josiah would have never been able to lead Judah into its last revival before the exile to Babylon! (2 Kings 22)
Some of my learned friends might say, that I am talking about the “Old Testament” and that we as “New Testament” believers are i8n another dispensation of time! They would probably confront me with some very well known passages of Scriptures that have been accepted “verbatim” as translated without inquiring of their meaning in the original context and language. When interpreting a Scripture it is of the utmost importance to research both the historical background, the culture and the language. If we do not do so, we will err by establishing what the Bible calls “doctrines of demons and men”. These doctrines have been deathly to say the least!
So, let us embark in a Journey of Discovery!
