Special Biblical New Year Edition
Torah Portion VAYIKRA– Vayikra (Leviticus) 1:1–5:26(6:7) Haftarah: Isaiah 43:21–44:23
“And in every province and in every city, wherever the king’s command and his edict reached, there was gladness and joy among the Jews, a feast and a holiday. And many from the peoples of the country declared themselves Jews, for fear of the Jews had fallen on them.” Esther 8:17 ESV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved!
In the year 325 AD, Emperor Constantine wrote the following in the Council of Nicaea:
When the question relative to the sacred festival of Easter arose, it was universally thought that it would be convenient that all should keep the feast on one day; for what could be more beautiful and more desirable than to see this festival, through which we receive the hope of immortality, celebrated by all with one accord and in the same manner? It was declared to be particularly unworthy for this, the holiest of festivals, to follow the customs (the calculation) of the Jews, who had soiled their hands with the most fearful of crimes, and whose minds were blinded. In rejecting their custom, we may transmit to our descendants the legitimate mode of
celebrating Easter, which we have observed from the time of the Savior’s passion (according to the day of the week).
We ought not therefore to have anything in common with the Jew, for the Savior has shown us another way; our worship following a more legitimate and more convenient course (the order of the days of the week). And consequently, in unanimously adopting this mode, we desire, dearest brethren, to separate ourselves from the detestable company of the Jew. For it is truly shameful for us to hear them boast that without their direction we could not keep this feast. How can they be in the right, they who, after the death of the Savior, have no longer been led by reason but by wild violence, as their delusion may urge them? They do not possess the truth in this Easter question, for in their blindness and repugnance to all improvements, they frequently celebrate two Passovers in the same year. We could not imitate those who are openly in error.
How, then, could we follow these Jews who are most certainly blinded by error? For, to celebrate a Passover twice in one year is totally inadmissible.
But even if this were not so, it would still be your duty not to tarnish your soul by communication with such wicked people (the Jews). You should consider not only that the number of churches in these provinces make a majority, but also that it is right to demand what our reason approves, and that we should have nothing in common with the Jews.
(From the letter of the Emperor Constantine to all those not present at the Council of Nicaea, found in Eusebius, Vita Const. Lib III 18-20)
This was put in effect as Christian Law, which has been affecting and influencing the Body of Messiah until today. It gave permission to the Fallen Angels of the Ancient gods of Ishtar and Baal to come and possess the Church of the time. This gradually took the Church into the Dark Ages. Sadly many present-day ministers know that Easter is an Ishtar celebration and are failing to inform their constituents about it, so that the open doors to the enemy can finally be closed.
“thus says YHVH Elohim: “Behold, I am against the shepherds and I will demand My flock from their hand. I will dismiss them from tending the flock. The shepherds will no longer feed themselves. I will rescue My sheep from their mouth, so they will not be food for them.” For thus says YHVH Elohim: “Here I am! I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.” Ezekiel 34:10-11 STB
Easter has nothing to do with the Resurrection of Messiah, neither the timing nor the name nor the pagan traditions, including Easter eggs or bunny rabbits. These are all contact points to allow Satan to have a hold on the Body of Messiah. These days are days of much evil, and much is shaking; we must get purified from all these pagan traditions in order to be anointed, empowered, and stand firm in the face of the present-day onslaught. Pagan-rooted celebrations are not helping us; they make us weak and displease The Holy God of Israel, who did not institute them. This very subject will make it or break it in our spiritual condition in the coming days.
“And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word.” 1 Kings 18:21 ESV
Please understand that I am all for celebrating the Resurrection of Messiah during its rightful season of Passover and First Fruits. But He did not rise from the dead on Easter: it was during the Feast Passover-First Fruits-Unleavened Bread. Easter is patterned after the celebration for the goddess of fertility named Ishtar (also known as Venus and Semiramis), thus we see the Easter/Ishtar eggs and the bunny rabbit traditions. Furthermore, by divorcing from the Jewish Roots of the Gospel, the Council of Nicaea actions thrust the Gentile believers into a glaring spirit of Antisemitism, which is hatred of the Jewish People and everything they deemed to be Jewish, including the name of the Messiah Yeshua being forbidden to be uttered. This Antisemitism, in an overt or covert form, still lives inside Christianity.
“O YHVH my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in the day of trouble, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth and say: “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, worthless things in which there is no profit.” Jeremiah 16:19 STB
The time of definition has come. Will we remain divorced from the original Gospel that came out of Zion by practicing false timings and traditions borrowed from Rome and Babylon? Or will we finally humble our hearts to REPENT of them, acknowledging that we have been offending the Almighty by loving our traditions more than Truth, more than Him?
“You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.” Mark 7:8 ESV
Will we rise as Esther to remember who we are? We are a Bride that needs to be Grafted In – into the Ancient Olive Tree of Israel and not connected to a pagan Roman Christian one through all these traditions that offend the Most High God. As we choose whom we will serve, either the Fallen Angels and Ancient gods through our traditions or the God of Israel, we will be dressed as Royalty to stand before the King. Then we will stand and prevail against the flagrant Antisemitism of this age that is bringing untold curses to our nations.
“For YHVH is enraged at all the nations, and furious at all their armies. He will utterly destroy them. He will give them over to slaughter. For YHVH has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the hostility against Zion.” Isaiah 34:2, 8 STB
As we choose truth and purity over tradition, we will prevail against Satan’s plans and devices to destroy humanity and shine like lights in the midst of darkness.
“And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.” Daniel 12:3 ESV
Happy and blessed Biblical New Year of the month of Aviv, as we prepare to enter Passover season.

Support our Prison Ministry
We have a prison ministry in the United States led by Rabbi Baruch Bierman. Hundreds are now studying GRM Bible school behind the bars!
Testimonies from our inmate students:
GRM Bible School has saved my life! I was not well physically, and my spiritual life was hanging by a thread because it was all built on false doctrines and lies. Now I have a deep, healthy, and thriving relationship with Yeshua. My whole life has changed!
– Deborah Ross
This course has given me a better understanding of what it really means to have Yeshua as the Lord and Master of my life. I have regained my faith in Yeshua and hope for a better life, not just here on earth but also in Eternity.
