Torah Portion SHEVI’I SHEL PESACH – Shemot (Exodus) 13:17-15:26
“They traded the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” Romans 1:25 TLV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved!
The point of divorce between the 4th Century Church under Emperor Constantine and the Jewish Roots of the faith was Easter. The Biblical Feast of Passover (when Yeshua was crucified, buried and raised from the dead) was discarded and the pagan feast of Easter or “Ishtar” was adopted together with all its pagan traditions. Traditions such as painted eggs and bunny rabbits are directly derived from the sexual orgies held during this pagan feast, which caused the bearing of babies – and a portion of them would be sacrificed a year later to the goddess. The eggs would be dipped in the sacrificed babies’ blood and then displayed for all to see. The bunny rabbits have been a long-standing pagan symbol of procreation, sexuality and fertility. The timing was also changed, which did not follow the pattern of the Sign of Jonah of three days and three nights in the grave. We will discuss this point later in this letter.
Many pogroms against the Jews have happened during Easter because of the accusation that they are responsible for the murder of Jesus Christ. This lie must be confronted! Our sin took Messiah to the cross, he laid down His life for both Jews and Gentiles. In fact, the Romans nailed Him to the execution stake and did not do this “apologetically”. But no one has accused the Romans of being guilty of murdering Christ; however, many Jews have died during Easter in past years in Europe because of this vile accusation.
Yeshua did not rise from the dead on Easter Sunday: that is a Catholic invention. He rose from the dead after 3 days and 3 nights in the grave. He said the sign given to Israel would be the “Sign of Jonah”, as detailed below:
But Yeshua replied to them, “An evil and adulterous generation clamors for a sign, yet no sign shall be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. For just as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. Matthew 12:39, 40
Yeshua was crucified in the same day the Pesach (Passover) lambs were being killed in preparation for the Passover dinner. He was put in the grave before Passover Eve–Feast of Matza (Feast of Unleavened Bread). The following day is Chag (holiday) like Shabbat and so is the second day in Yerushalayim (a walled city) then followed by the weekly Shabbat. He was in the grave 3 days, all that were considered Shabbats in the Bible (Yom Tov like Shabbat). Three nights after, when the sun was setting after the weekly Shabbat, the Son of Adonai was rising. The evening of Motsaei Shabbat is considered biblically Yom Rishon (Sunday) which is the Day of Bikurim (Firstfruits) in Passover (see VaYikrah – Leviticus 23).
Easter is actually the name of the goddess of fertility, Ishtar, having nothing to do with us or the Messiah. See the scripture below describing how Miriam from Magdala (Mary Magdalene) comes to the tomb after Shabbat on Yom Rishon (First Day of the week) when “it’s still dark” and the tomb is empty. No Easter Sunday is mentioned in the Holy Scriptures. When the sun set at the end of Shabbat, our beloved Yeshua rose. The sun must bow down before the Son!
Early in the morning on the first day of the week, while it is still dark, Miriam from Magdala comes to the tomb. She sees that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb. So she comes running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Yeshua loved. She tells them, “They’ve taken the Master out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they’ve put Him!” John 20:1-2 TLV
Restoring the Feast of Passover will help restore the Jewish Identity of Messiah, the DNA of His Bride and will bring us to freedom from the religious lies of Replacement Theology.
Happy last night of Pesach to all!

Support our Prison Ministry!
We have opened a prison ministry in the United States led by Rabbi Baruch Bierman, a GRM Bible school group in the UCI prison in Florida. Step by step, they are being led to the gospel made in Zion, and we have seen many miracles happening in their lives! When Rabbi Baruch is visiting them at the prison, he always returns with reports of healings and transformation of lives. Yah has opened us a mighty door!
Currently, we are developing GRM in a platform that would make it available for all the prisoners in the American prison system to study with their tablets. We invite you to support this important ministry through prayers and donations to enlarge this effort to introduce Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah to the prison system all over the USA!
