“Be careful that you do not offer your burnt offerings in any place you see.” Deuteronomy 12:13 TLV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved!
Many people consider themselves generous. Some feel cheated because they seem to be giving offerings to everyone but they are still lacking for their own needs. The mystery of giving and receiving is not only how much you offer, but rather how and to whom you offer. Most people do what is right in their own eyes, hence they end up disappointed.
“You will not do all the things as we are doing here today—everyone doing what is right in his own eyes.” Deuteronomy 12:8 TLV
The ancient Israelites were taught how to give, who to give to, and where to give. They were to offer with a good attitude of honor. They were to bring their offerings to the divinely appointed priests and they were to come to the divinely appointed place of worship and ministry.
“Rather you are to seek only the place Adonai your God chooses from all your tribes to put His Name to dwell—there you will come.” Deuteronomy 12:5 TLV
Of course, this place was wherever the Ark of the Covenant, the Ark of Yah’s Presence, was. It was first in Gilgal, then in Shilo, and then in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem). After Yeshua came, He instructed that the worship (which includes the giving of offerings) was not depending on the physical location but rather on the nature of the worship. Any place where the Ruach (Spirit) and the truth (of His Word and Torah) had freedom, that was to be “a holy mountain” or a holy place of worship.
“But an hour is coming—it is here now—when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people as His worshipers.” John 4:23 TLV
Elohim has designed for each of us to be part of a spiritual family that worships together and serves Him in Spirit and truth. It is most important to know where we belong, as this will be our place of REST from our spiritual wanderings in the same way that the land of Canaan became the place of rest from the endless desert wanderings of the people of Israel.
“For you have not yet come to the resting place and the inheritance that Adonai your God is giving you. But when you cross over the Jordan and settle in the land that Adonai your God enables you to inherit, and He gives you rest from all your enemies around you, you will dwell in safety.” Deuteronomy 12:9-10 TLV
When we find that place where we belong, where we settle with our spiritual family, then we find rest and protection from our enemies all around. There is safety in knowing where you belong, especially in these uncertain times when darkness seems to be covering the earth. Your spiritual family, the “army battalion” you have been appointed to by the Most High, is the right place to be. This is not about a man-made building, but rather a spiritual house.
“you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house—a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Messiah Yeshua.” 1 Peter 2:5 TLV
You can convene with your spiritual family in a building, in a city, online, on Zoom, and across continents, but you must know where you belong. Your spiritual well-being and the well-being of His Body and of this world depend on each one of us finding that place of rest. That is the place of Shabbat. And it is in that place that your offerings and your sacrifices will be acceptable, and blessed, and will bear fruit.
“Also the foreigners who join themselves to Adonai, to minister to Him, and to love the Name of Adonai, and to be His servants— all who keep from profaning Shabbat, and hold fast to My covenant— these I will bring to My holy mountain, and let them rejoice in My House of Prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar. For My House will be called a House of Prayer for all nations.” Isaiah 56:6-7 TLV
It is in the spiritual family you belong to that your offerings and your giving will bring the most joy and the most blessing.
“There you are to bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes, the offering of your hand, your vow and freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock. There you and your households will eat before Adonai your God and rejoice in every undertaking of your hand, as Adonai your God has blessed you.” Deuteronomy 12:6-7 TLV
Then He proceeded to tell His people to give and to offer sacrifices in His order, in His divinely appointed place, and to His priests. Once they knew where they belonged, disorder in the giving arena had to stop.
“You will not do all the things as we are doing here today—everyone doing what is right in his own eyes.” Deuteronomy 12:8 TLV
It is in this place of REST where you know that you belong, that spiritual family, that holy army and house of living stones, that your giving and your offering will be blessed and will bring forth fruit. It is when you give to the priests who officiate in your spiritual house, ministry, and faith community that the blessings can be released to REST in your house.
“The first of all the firstfruits of everything and every offering of every kind from all your offerings will belong to the kohanim (priests/ministers). You will also give the kohen the first of your dough, to make a blessing to rest on your house.” Ezekiel 44:30 TLV
And what about our giving to missions?
In these end-times, YHVH is also leading all nations, spiritual houses, and families to bring their offerings to Jerusalem, connecting with His plan to restore Israel, and through Israel, bless the nations again. It is to Israel that He said the following,
“Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will throb and swell with joy. For the abundance of the sea will be turned over to you. The wealth of nations will come to you.” Isaiah 60:5 TLV
And it is to Israel that He promised that the nations will take part in her rebuilding and in her restoration.
“Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will minister to you. For in My fury I struck you, but in My favor I will show you mercy. Your gates will be open continually. They will not be shut day or night, so that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, with their kings led in procession.” Isaiah 60:10-11 TLV
In fact, He said that the well-being of the nations depended on the physical and financial contribution to the rebuilding of Israel,
“For the nation and the kingdom which will not serve you will perish— those nations will be utterly ruined.” Isaiah 60:12 TLV
The United Nations for Israel (UNIFY) is here to provide a spiritual house to all the people and nations that know that it is time to fulfill the Holy mandate to bless Israel and to help restore her.
We invite you to come and rest in the Spiritual house called UNIFY, to support the vision and mission of the United Nations for Israel, to stand with Israel in a covenant way, and to put Israel first in your giving and in your prayers. This is an act of restitution and blessing mandated by YHVH to all the nations.
“For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make some contribution for the poor among the believers in Jerusalem. Yes, they were pleased to do so, and they are under obligation to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual blessings, they also ought to serve them in material blessings.” Romans 15:26-27 TLV
Israel is the mother of the nations. Through Israel, we have received everything: the Bible, the Messiah, and the Gospel. It is time for the nations to give back. The well-being of the church and the nations depends on it as He said to Abraham:
My desire is to bless those who bless you, but whoever curses you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Genesis 12:3 TLV
