I will not Forget You

“I will not Forget You!”

By Pastor Perach Yang

I will not Forget You
Torah Portion MISHPATIM – Shemot (Exodus) 21:1 – 24:18 Haftarah: Isaiah 66:1–24

“Can a woman forget her nursing baby or lack compassion for a child of her womb? Even if these forget, I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands. Your walls are continually before Me. Isaiah 49:15-16

Shabbat Shalom, dearly beloved!

I have seen at least two recent news reports during the Israel-Hamas war where the IDF found an Arabic version of Hitler’s autobiography “Mein Kampf” in Hamas territory. This reminded me of the vision I had last summer when I was praying about whether to go on the Sukkot Israel tour: I saw myself standing in the hallway of Yad Vashem (The Shoah Memorial Museum in Jerusalem). I knew then that it was the Lord’s confirmation for me to go on this Sukkot tour to Israel. The Tour started at the end of September, and Archbishop Dominiquae took us to different places in Israel to pray and blow the shofar. Unexpectedly, on the last Sabbath of the Sukkot tour in Jerusalem, the air raid sirens sounded during the graduation ceremony of the GRM Bible School: it was October 7, the day of the Hamas massacre on the Gaza border.

In July of this year, our team participated in 10 Days of Prayer and Fasting for Mercy and Comfort to Israel. On the first day of the month of Av, we had made an offering to the Shavei Darom Children’s Park. I had just watched the Archbishop’s message about the brutal disengagement of Gush Katif/Gaza, and we wanted to support those Jewish residents now relocated in the portal of the Negev. After we had sent the offering, I saw a vision of the buildings in the Auschwitz death camp. Then I understood that the purpose of our support was not only to comfort the Orthodox Jews who had lost their homes and moved to Shavei Darom but also to answer the lament of the Jewish blood poured on the ground.

I will not Forget You

“Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God. Isaiah 40:1

He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground. Genesis 4:10

On the ninth day of the ten days of fasting and prayer, I read Isaiah 49:15-16 and suddenly understood more of the meaning of the first vision I saw of myself standing in the hallway of Yad Vashem. Ruach (Holy Spirit) gave me the word “names.”

What is the most important thing in Yad Vashem, apart from telling us the whole tragic history? The names. I remembered that there was a room filled with documents with names of those who were slaughtered, and in the memorial for 1.5 million children, the names were read out loud one by one. I understood that Abba wanted us to know that He remembers all those names and many more whose names are not recorded in the museum. His Word says:

“Can a woman forget her nursing baby or lack compassion for a child of her womb? Even if these forget, I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands. Your walls are continually before Me. Isaiah 49:15-16

I will not Forget You

After returning from Israel, right after the Hamas massacre, many intercessors around the world prayed for the release of the Israeli hostages. They read out their names aloud one by one, praying that they could return home. God has not forgotten any of the names of His people; He has not forgotten any of His children; and He has promised that He will avenge those people who were brutally killed. (Isaiah 34:8)

Archbishop Dominiquae’s book The Voice of These Ashes was published just before Sukkot, and I wondered if this was a coincidence. Or is it that Yah wants to use His servant, whom He called on the ashes of Auschwitz to be the voice of the ashes of those who were exterminated, to also deliver this important message to the world at such a time as this – after this mass murder?

The Voice of These Ashes

She writes in her book that when righteous acts of restitution are done, curses are broken, and prayers are answered. During King David’s time, although it was not his fault, Israel still suffered the curse of three years of famine because of the injustice done to the Gibeonites. King David understood that the only way out of the curse his predecessor left him was through an Act of Restitution. The famine would never break, and all of Israel could die unless the curse for the murder of the Gibeonites was broken. He turned to them to seek to appease them.

Thus David said to the Gibeonites, “What should I do for you? And how can I make atonement that you may bless the inheritance of the Lord?” And he said, “I will do for you whatever you say.” So they said to the king, “The man who consumed us and who planned to exterminate us from remaining within any border of Israel, let seven men from his sons be given to us, and we will hang them before the Lord in Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of the Lord.” And the king said, “I will give them.” 2 Samuel 21:3, 4b-6

What is most revealing is Heaven’s response to this difficult act of righteous restitution. The curse broke, and YHVH’s hand was moved to answer prayer on behalf of the land!

“…Afterward, God was moved by prayer for the land. 2 Samuel 21:14b

The Voice of These Ashes is God’s gift to our generation. Its cover may look painful, but its content is ultimately full of life and hope because it is a message from the Lord of Life. He had the power to raise His Son from the dead, and He surely has the power to turn the painful cries of these ashes into life and blessing. Perhaps we were not alive during the Second World War, but if we were, how would we have responded to the Jews who were treated like lambs waiting to be slaughtered and sent to the death camps? Would we have dared to reach out to the Jews and speak out on their behalf? Or perhaps we would even have helped the Nazis to hate and kill the Jews? Our actions today, during this ongoing war following the Hamas massacre, will greatly impact us, our families, and the nation for which we stand.

Over the past two months, world news has allowed us to see global criticism and opinions about Israel’s self-defense. But do we truly know that God does not forget His children? He said, “I will not forget you.” Are the promises to Abraham in Genesis 12:3 just words?

“And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

I will not Forget You

Now, in the middle of this war, let us open this book, The Voice of These Ashes, and listen carefully to the voice of God through His servant. Each of us has the opportunity to do what is right in the eyes of the Almighty and bring blessings rather than unbearable judgments and curses. This is the message of life and death at this time.

May “He who has ears, let him hear!” Matthew 11:15

For I know the plans that I have in mind for you,” declares Adonai, “plans for shalom and not calamity—to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 TLV

Planting trees in Israel

1200 Fruit Trees Solidarity Memorial

Help us restore LIFE to Israel through the planting of 1200 fruit trees in memory of the 1200 persons murdered by Hamas on October 7, 2023.

Farmers near the Gaza border lost much produce during the Hamas Massacre when thousands of rockets fell on their fields, destroying trees and ruining their harvest. We can now support them by purchasing trees to replenish the land!

$35 per tree includes a historical printable planting certificate in your name or in memory of a loved one. Do not miss this opportunity to bless Israel!

Plant one or more trees and recruit others to plant, too! Together, with the help of Adonai, we can do it!

The MAP prison ministry, pioneered by Rabbi Baruch Bierman, has expanded fast. We are growing fast into thousands of students whom are studying GRM Bible School behind bars, and the number keeps growing weekly. Many students have sent us testimonies of their changed lives.

    Testimonies from our inmate students:

I have been wrong all my life, but now I understand what God wants from me for the first time in my life!
    – Ronald

GRM Bible School has saved my life! I was not well physically, and my spiritual life was hanging by a thread because it was all built on false doctrines and lies. Now I have a deep, healthy, and thriving relationship with Yeshua.
    – Deborah

I need God desperately to come into my life and save me from this havoc way of living. Thank you for this book. Pray for me, please, and I hope you will continue to teach me; I need this!
    – Jerred
