Celebrating 33 Years of Marriage and Ministry
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful with a little, so I’ll put you in charge of much. Enter into your master’s joy!’ Matthew 25:21 TLV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved!
Rabbi Baruch and I are celebrating 33 years of Marriage and Ministry this month. I remember when I asked Yah when I met Baruch Bierman and was concerned about where the relationship was leading. “Abba, is this relationship for Marriage Purposes?”. Yah answered, “It is for Ministry Purposes, but you must be Married first!”
33 years later, right after our Historical Hanukkah Lights 2022 Event in St Augustine’s Plaza de la Constitución, I was reviewing the end of the fiscal year report for both Ministries that Yah has entrusted us with:

Our two Pillars of administration, Reut and Hadassah, were sharing an excel sheet Reut prepared for me. I wanted to see who was doing what and review all our expenses. When they finished their enlightening presentation, I realized we had expanded and grown considerably. Gone were the days when I was the sole admin of all facets of the ministry, with occasional helpers that would come and go. Some of them were pivotal in keeping us afloat, and we are very grateful for them and pray they will be blessed forever. Their faithfulness to stay with us has been amply rewarded by the Most High. But for the most part, we had almost no help. Yet we did not quit; we stayed with the Mission Yah gave us in 1990 when He sent us out of Israel to the nations, to more than 50 thus far!
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in My Name and teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 STB
Our message has remained the same but deeper and more enlightened. Our resources, books, music albums, videos, courses, Shabbat Letters, and Israel Tours have grown and grown, and so have our disciples and Committed Team. I gazed with wonder at this excel sheet, at the names of the official staff, team members, volunteers, translators, national delegates, and service providers! Wow! We have become an Army! In days past, I could control everything, and to be on the safe side, I could do everything.
Now I will do my best to oversee all, but I definitely cannot control all, and neither can I be an expert on every technicality and aspect of the ministry. Now that we have grown, I must trust Yah more than ever. I must trust Him that every one of our Team Members will be faithful to continue what Rabbi and I started in the same spirit, with the same level of commitment and obedience to Yah, in holiness, righteousness, and integrity. I must trust that they will always choose excellency over “perfectionism.” So it’s all done in the fine balance of Truth, Integrity, Love, Mercy, Forgiveness, and Faithfulness without excuses. Above all, with genuineness, transparency, and always full of faith, without limitations, and overflowing with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
“Behold, I am Adonai, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me?” Jeremiah 32:27 TLV
My prayer is that they will never depart from the Source, Essence, and Message that has been entrusted to us. That even if Yeshua tarries, He will find us all faithful doing what He asked of us in the same spirit and in complete unity for all generations to come.
“Just as You sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I make Myself holy, so that they also may be made holy in truth.” John 17:18-19 TLV
All this growth (and what is to come!) did not happen quickly or instantly. It has required faithfulness to be obedient to Yah in the small things for 33 years. Our growth did not seem dramatic at all. In fact, we have been cut back like roses many times. And just like roses, we recovered many times and began to bloom again with many more buds and many more roses.
“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He trims so that it may bear more fruit.” John 15:2 TLV
Anything that grows always starts from a small seed that someone planted. Without the small seed, nothing can grow.
For whoever has, to him more will be given and he will have plenty. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” Matthew 13:12 TLV
We must always have seeds to plant, if actual seeds, or the Word, Time, Ministry and skills or food, money, or possessions. For Yah gives the seed, but He gives it only to the sower.
“Now the One who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.” 2 Corinthians 9:10 TLV
Only Sowers become enriched because of their generosity in sowing, giving your seed away, and planting it in Good Soil.
“You will be enriched in everything for all generosity, which through us brings about thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:11 TLV
Faithfulness to plant small seeds and take faithful steps of obedience to the Holy Spirit, as little as they may seem, is the Key to Greatness.
He presented to them another parable, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. It’s the smallest of all seeds; yet when it’s full grown, it’s greater than the other herbs. It becomes like a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches. Matthew 13:31-32 TLV
Small Things Matter

As I summarize the Key to our growth, I would say that it is a conglomerate of lots of small and seemingly insignificant things and steps of obedience. Obedience to go and obedience to give what we have and who we are. Obedience to keep ourselves as Living Sacrifices on Yah’s Altar of Service. Obedience to keep believing His Promises against all odds. Obedience to choose obedience when our flesh screams to quit. Obedience to forgive the unforgivable and love the unlovable. Obedience to even forgive ourselves when needed. Obedience to keep moving and taking more small steps of faith and obedience, for Small Things Matter.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being obedient to pray for us, help us, believe in us, and support us with your faithful gifts and donations. The world has changed and will keep changing because you have not despised the Small Things!
