The Freedom from Pain Retreat rekindled the fire in me to be the man Yah has called me to be. In my life, anger has caused me more pain than anything else. I have had to forgive being sexually abused by family and others. I also had to find a way to forgive my father for murdering my mother. The pain from that trauma alone made trusting anyone or having a genuine relationship, even with Adonai (The Lord), an almost impossible task. These are the things that hurt me most, as well as being incarcerated because of my own choices and thus separated from my wife, who is disabled and living alone. Ultimately, YHVH (God) has shown me a love that has quelled my anger, allowing me to forgive those who hurt me and move forward. Adonai has carried me through all the way. I know He has a plan for me; I am assured by faith it will come to pass, as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11.
