Torah Portion TETZAVEH – Shemot (Exodus) 27:20- 30:10 Haftarah: 2 Samuel 15:1- 34
to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of Adonai, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3 TLV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved,
From the ashes of Auschwitz to the ashes of Kfar Aza, after the October 7 massacre by Hamas in the Gaza border burnt Israeli communities: Ashes carry a message of devastation, destruction, grief, loss, and unimaginable pain. Ashes and tears go together.
“For I have eaten ashes like bread and mixed my drink with tears—” Psalms 102:10 TLV
With time, repentance, and trust in the only One who can bring restoration, ashes can be turned into a new kind of gold.
In 1992, my husband and I were sent to the Philippines. It was a “Macedonian Call.”

“Come and help us,” said Sister Malou Galang, our fellow alumni of CFNI Bible College in Dallas, Texas. “Our people are suffering because of the Lahar formed after the explosion of Mt. Pinatubo a few months ago. We have nothing to offer you; many houses are buried under the lahar (a mixture of mud and volcanic ash).” We heard the call and, by faith, without money in our pockets, flew to the Philippines.
“Stay and prosper” were the words I released to the survivors of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in Mabalacat, in Pampanga, after our act of repentance with five churches that heeded our call to join us for an Act of Repentance from idolatry, especially from Catholic traditions. The lahar had buried many houses. The air was full of ash; we needed to cover our faces to protect ourselves from breathing it. We poured oil on top of the lahar where houses and mansions were buried. We repented by proxy with the five pastors for the Catholic idolatry and broke the curses over Mabalacat Pampanga, ending in a “Yeshua March” all over the city and dancing Israeli dances at the City Hall square.
The believers asked me what to do next. Should we evacuate like all the others that were in tent cities and refugee camps? Another wave of lahar (mud with volcanic ash) was on its way to the city.
“No,” I said, “Stay here and prosper.”
A year later and on…

Those who listened to me became very wealthy; the curse was broken, and Mabalacat became one of the most prosperous cities in the Philippines. The lahar was a great fertilizer, and when hardened, it became the bricks for the new houses and new buildings. The mud mixed with ash; the lahar had become the new GOLD.
Had we thought about it, we could have bought the entire city for “peanuts” when no one wanted it and would have become oligarchs, but it did not even cross our minds to profit from the prophetic word that I released. My whole heart was in doing Yah’s will and blessing the people, not in caring for ourselves.

Have you had devastating circumstances in your life? Are ashes mingled with your food and tears? I have eaten and drunk many ashes mingled with tears. Israel has, and many of us have.
Israelis must remain at their post as the heirs of the Promised Land. The IDF soldiers have been swimming in ash and mud created by the destruction of Hamas, Hezbollah, and all the Jew haters, but the Jews must not retreat from possessing the Land and turning ash fields into thriving fruit orchards.
“They will build houses and inhabit them. They will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They will not build and another inhabit, nor plant and another eat. For like the days of a tree, so will be the days of My people, and My chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands.” Isaiah 65:21-22 TLV

Let the mud and ash of your life become gold in your hands as you trust Yah to remain in your post, in your Divine Calling. Despite adverse circumstances, you will PROSPER.
“Sing praise to Adonai, His faithful ones, and praise His holy name. For His anger lasts for only a moment; His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.” Psalms 30:5-6 TLV

Study at GRM Israeli Bible Institute
You’ll never need to take another Bible School again. GRM Bible Institute is a washing machine that leads you to the 1st century truth. You will discover the original Gospel made in Zion that has set many free.
Testimonies from the students:
I was second in command for a nationwide gang, but with the help of YHVH and GRM Bible School, I have begun to denounce that, after 21 years of membership. The enemy has been attacking me because of it. He knows he is losing a warrior, but I fight a different war for a different Master now. – J.M.
I used to be confused and uncomfortable because I didn’t know what to believe. There are so many different doctrines, all going against each other and teaching different things. I now understand the Gospel better and know my faith’s roots. – E.P
I have been wrong all my life, but now I understand what God wants from me! – R.D.
