Torah portion BEHAR-BECHUKOTAI – Vaikra (Leviticus) 25:1-27:34 Haftara: Jeremiah 16:19-17:14
“Then the kohen is to go examine, and behold, if the plague has spread within the house, it is a destructive mildew inside. It is unclean.” Leviticus 14:44 TLV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved!
The Torah has many laws to guide us in our practical life, and one of them is about houses that have violent mold. This kind of relentless mold is termed “leprosy” or in Hebrew Zaraat, a type of contagious skin disease, except in a house. If that skin disease was not contained, then the people were sent out of the camp, isolated from the community to prevent the spread.
“The one with tza’arat who has the plague-mark shall wear torn clothes, the hair of his head is to hang loose, he is to cover his upper lip and cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ All the days during which the plague is on him he will be unclean. He is unclean. He is to dwell alone. Outside of the camp will be his dwelling.” Leviticus 13:45-46 TLV
There was a process before finally declaring a person unclean and for signs of Zaraat in a garment or a house.
When the first sign of mold appeared in a house, the Kohen would check it.
“Then the kohen is to command that they take out the stones that are marked and throw them into an unclean place outside of the city. He shall also have the inside of the house scraped all throughout, and they are to dump the mortar that they scraped off outside of the city into an unclean place.” Leviticus 14:40-41 TLV
Then those affected stones would be replaced with clean stones.
“They may then take other stones and put them in the place of those stones. Likewise, he can take other mortar and plaster the house.” Leviticus 14:42 TLV
However, when that did not help and the Zaraat/mold of the house would return, drastic measures would be taken.
“But suppose the contamination returns, breaking out in the house, after he has pulled out the stones and after he has scraped the house, and it has been re-plastered. Then the kohen is to go examine it, and behold if the plague has spread within the house, it is a destructive mildew inside. It is unclean. He is to break down the house, its stones, its timber, along with all the house’s mortar, and carry them out of the city into an unclean place.” Leviticus 14:43-45 TLV
Now, the destruction of the house is the last recourse, but it is inevitable if the plague remains. That violent type of mold makes the house uninhabitable. It is distressful to lose one’s house, but more distressful would have been to lose the lives of its inhabitants to the toxic mold.
Many years ago, Yah made it abundantly clear to me that there was a toxic mold in His House, the community of believers. This toxic mold is called Replacement Theology. It has many aspects to it, in fact, five of them, and it was necessary to purify His House from all five of them. The work had to be thorough, and none of that toxic spiritual mold could remain. If any of it resurfaced, His House would be uninhabitable and a hazard, and it would be destroyed.
Revival after revival, renewal after renewal exposed parts of this theology that have kept His House unclean, causing deeply seated anti-Jewish bias and feelings of hatred that run deep: hatred for His laws and commandments, the despising of His Jewish people, the opposing of Zionism, and the prophetic fulfillment of the restoration of Israel to all of its promised land.
“On that day Adonai cut a covenant with Abram, saying, ‘I give this land to your seed, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates River:” Genesis 15:18 TLV
This Zaraat of His House is now forcing the High Priest, Yeshua, who is a Jew and the Living Torah, to take out the affected stones and replace them with clean stones. Stones are likened unto people.
“You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house—a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Messiah Yeshua.” 1 Peter 2:5 TLV
A great change is happening in His House to prevent its destruction. Sin is being exposed, and shakings are happening. The end result is the healing of His House.
“Now this phrase, ‘Yet once more,’ shows the removal of those things that are shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.” Hebrews 12:27 TLV
Re-plastering the House
To remedy this toxic mold, I have written The Identity Theft, and I strongly suggest that you read this book and take the free course that comes with it. It will expose the toxicity of Replacement Theology, and it will start the re-plastering and healing of His House. Then proceed to take our GRM Bible School, which will complete the cleansing and the healing. Call others to do the same, and you would have brought salvation to His House. And from that place, you will bring healing and restoration to Israel.
“But if the kohen comes in, inspects it, and behold, the plague has not spread within the house after it was re-plastered, then he shall pronounce the house clean, because the contamination is healed.” Leviticus 14:48 TLV
