A Watchman’s Warning

Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved,
The despicable murder of two precious, young, vibrant people working for the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC, is a warning to America and, most particularly, to President Trump.
“If you warn the righteous person not to sin and the righteous person does not sin, he will surely live, because he took warning. You will have delivered your soul.” Ezekiel 3:21 TLV
Though a worker in the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC, Yaron was known as an evangelical Christian, an Israeli son of a Christian mother and a Jewish father who loved his country and served in the IDF. His beautiful future wife, Sarah, an American Jew, never wore the engagement ring in his pocket. They were murdered together, and they will be together for all eternity.
“Your glory, O Israel, is slain on your high places! How the mighty have fallen! Tell it not in Gath, proclaim it not in Ashkelon’s streets, lest Philistine daughters rejoice, lest daughters of the uncircumcised gloat!” 2 Samuel 1:19-20 TLV
The modern-day Philistines, the Palestinians and their proxies, were rejoicing once again for hitting Israel in its soft belly. Except this time, they fulfilled what they have been saying for a long time: First the Jews, then the Christians. Yaron was half Christian and half Jewish. Both he and Sarah were supporting dialogue with the Palestinians and humanitarian aid to Gaza. They were peace-loving and believed it could be achieved. Just like the 22 peace-loving communities at the border with Gaza, Yaron and Sarah paid with their lives for their lofty ideals. They loved the ones who hated them, but it did not help. The Palestinian Cause is Hitler’s Child, and the Final Solution is its goal, murdering Jews anywhere indiscriminately, whether they are Arab Palestinian lovers or not. This was amply proven on October 7, 2023, and it was amply proven in Washington, DC this week.
“They hatch adders’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web— whoever eats their eggs dies; crack one open, a viper breaks out.” Isaiah 59:5 TLV
The only way to achieve stabilization in the Middle East is with a very strong Israel. Nothing else will do. No trillions of dollars of arms deals with Saudi Arabia or Qatar will achieve that. In fact, it may backfire. But supporting Israel to defeat her enemies in full, including Iran, and to settle all liberated parts of its Promised Land, will ensure a period of quiet. Israel must remain the policeman in the Middle East, certainly not Qatar, the funder of Hamas, or Saudi Arabia, which is not willing to normalize diplomatic ties with Israel unless we establish a Palestinian State, which is what brought forth the massacre of October 7.

Gaza was a Palestinian State, and Qatar, together with the USA and UNRWA, were its major funders (yes! our tax $$$). The “Singapore of the Middle East” became a viper’s nest and a hellhole. Under the watchful eyes and encouragement of “moderate Arab nations”, such as the Qatari government and even Egypt, Hamas built an underground city of terror tunnels to annihilate Israel.

It is time for the bubble to burst and for our cherished President Donald Trump to stop listening to the wrong counsel. His advisory entourage is fast becoming the counsel of Ahitophel that was advising Absalom how to defeat his father King David.
New Troubling Advisory Appointments by President Trump
Ismail Royer, currently serving as the Director of the Islam and Religious Freedom Action Team at the Religious Freedom Institute, has a complex history. In 2003, he pleaded guilty to weapons charges related to assisting the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba and served over a decade in prison. Since his release, Royer has worked with various nonprofit organizations to promote interfaith dialogue and religious freedom.
Shaykh Hamza Yusuf is a prominent American Islamic scholar and co-founder of Zaytuna College, the first accredited Muslim liberal arts college in the United States. He has been recognized for his efforts in promoting classical Islamic learning and interfaith understanding. Yusuf has also served as an advisor to the Center for Islamic Studies at Berkeley’s Graduate Theological Union and was a member of the State Department’s Commission on Unalienable Rights during the first Trump administration.
These appointments have stirred concern across multiple sectors. According to an official release by the White House on May 16, 2025, Ismail Royer and Shaykh Hamza Yusuf were formally named as members of the new Advisory Board of Lay Leaders (Source: whitehouse.gov). Meanwhile, coverage by the Times of India highlighted Royer’s past involvement with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) training camps in Pakistan, citing his 2003 conviction and later advocacy work as part of the context surrounding his selection (Source: Times of India).
“Now in those days the counsel that Ahithophel gave was like inquiring for the word of God—so was all of Ahithophel’s counsel both with David and with Absalom.” 2 Samuel 16:23 TLV
Our prayer is that the evil counselors around President Trump will be defeated by Godly counselors who understand the Covenant of God with the People of Israel. Only this will ensure stabilization in the Middle East, the security of Israel, and the enduring of America. Otherwise, the American Empire will go the way of the British Empire and all the previous empires that did wrong to Israel and are no more. This is an urgent matter!
“Then someone told David saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” So David prayed, “Adonai, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”” 2 Samuel 15:31 TLV
