“You are not to pollute the land in which you are. Blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for land polluted by bloodshed except by the blood of the one who sheds it.” Numbers 35:33 TLV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved,
Have you noticed the endless cycle of bloodshed in the world, in Israel, in Gaza, in Ukraine, and in America, with all the murders and shootings in schools and other places? First and foremost, the bloodshed cycle continues because of the blood of the innocent. The most innocent in our society are the unborn babies. They never sinned, and yet they are murdered inside the wombs of their mothers.
“Can a woman forget her nursing baby or lack compassion for a child of her womb? Even if they forget, I will not forget you.” Isaiah 49:15 TLV
Globally, approximately 3 out of every 10 pregnancies end in induced abortion. This translates to around 73 million abortions annually, with about 6 out of every 10 unintended pregnancies also ending in abortion.
The United States is second in the world in the number of abortions each year. China takes the first place in this bloodshed cycle.
In America, over 1 million babies a year are being murdered, about 21% of all the pregnancies.
In 2023, an estimated 1,025,690 abortions were performed in the United States within the formal healthcare system. This represents a record high and is the first time the number of abortions has exceeded 1 million since 2012.
In India:
About 6.5 million babies are aborted yearly! In India, a significant portion of pregnancies, specifically about one-third, end in abortion. A large proportion, around 77%, of unintended pregnancies are terminated via abortion, though many of these abortions are unsafe. Roughly 60% of unintended pregnancies in India end in abortion, and many of these are unsafe, contributing to maternal deaths and hospitalizations.
In China, a significant percentage of pregnancies end in abortion. While specific percentages vary depending on the source and the year, one estimate is that about 78% of unintended pregnancies end in abortion. The annual number of induced abortions in China has been roughly 9 million, with this number exceeding the number of births in some years.
In Mexico, an estimated 54% of unintended pregnancies end in induced abortion, while 34% end in unplanned births and 12% end in miscarriages. This results in an estimated 1,040,000 induced abortions per year, according to the Guttmacher Institute. This translates to 38 induced abortions per 1,000 women aged 15-44.
In 2022, the number of abortions in Russia was 303 per 1,000 live births. This translates to approximately 30.3% of pregnancies ending in abortion.
In Papua New Guinea, approximately 5.3% of pregnancies end in abortion. This means that roughly one in twenty pregnancies is terminated. The Highlands region of PNG experiences a higher prevalence of pregnancy termination, accounting for nearly half of all cases.
While Israel’s abortion rate is one of the lowest, still, 20,000 abortions on average happen every year under the auspices of the health care system. Roughly 7.8% of the pregnancies end in abortion.
The Scriptures are clear about this: murder pollutes the land, every land, and especially the murder of the defenseless. We can see that when there is unjust bloodshed, like in the case of Cain and Abel, like in the case of the aborted babies, and the Jews murdered during the Nazi Shoah and those Israelis murdered on October 7, 2023, by Hamas, the blood cries vengeance from the ground. And the God of Israel hears those cries.
“Then He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying out to Me from the ground.” Genesis 4:10 TLV
The only way to stop unnecessary bloodshed in the world and the endless cycles of bloody wars is by repentance and restitution leading to forgiveness. The blood of the innocent cannot be atoned for without bloodshed. The murderer must be put to death.

In other words, the parents of those unborn babies must be put to death, and the doctors who perform the abortions must be put to death. Then, people in the system who signed these abortions into law must be put to death. And if these people are not alive, then their relatives must be put to death. This blood curse goes on and on.
“For behold, Adonai is coming out from His place to punish inhabitants of the earth for iniquity. The earth will disclose her bloodshed, no longer covering up her slain.” Isaiah 26:21 TLV
Do you know that in Ukraine alone, over 1.5 million Jews were murdered in their forests during WW2? This blood was covered and concealed until a Catholic priest exposed it to the light many years later. Until today, no one has talked about it. Is that blood crying from the ground? You bet it is! Is this connected with the insane bloodshed in Ukraine? Most probably. Can it be stopped? Repentance and restitution towards the Jewish People would go a long way toward bringing healing, like in the case of David and the Gibeonites. However, that has never happened.
“Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year, so David sought the face of Adonai. Adonai replied, “It is because of Saul and his bloody house, for he put the Gibeonites to death.” David asked the Gibeonites, “What should I do for you? How may I make atonement so that you would bless the inheritance of Adonai?”” 2 Samuel 21:1, 3 TLV
Repentance includes acknowledgment of sins and the forsaking of those sins. Restitution means to repay good where evil was done, both in money and in actions.
Repentance must be both to Elohim and to the people that were harmed. Restitution is between human and human. For example, after WW2, Germany began paying restitution to the Jewish survivors and often their families. That is the right thing to do.
Even though the Torah says that it is life for life,
“Whoever kills an animal is to make restitution, but the one who kills a man is to be put to death. You are to have one standard of justice for the outsider as well as the native-born, for I am Adonai, your God.” Leviticus 24:21-22 TLV
Yeshua showed us the higher way, which is forgiveness, and then also proceeded on a life of restitution. The Apostle Paul caused the murder of many of the Jewish believers in Yeshua. When Yeshua appeared to him, he repented and was forgiven, but then he lived a life of restitution. He would suffer now to bring the gospel to Jews as well as Gentiles.
“For I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.” Acts 9:16 TLV
Now we understand why he was willing to lose his own salvation if it would cause the Jewish people to be saved. He was willing to make restitution with his life if needed to atone for his murderous sins against the Jewish believers. Though he was thoroughly saved by the Blood of Yeshua, he understood as a Torah scholar the principle of restitution.
“That my sorrow is great and the anguish in my heart unending. For I would pray that I myself were cursed, banished from Messiah for the sake of my people—my own flesh and blood.” Romans 9:2-3 TLV
Now we can understand why Yeshua’s blood had to be spilled. All the innocent blood in the world from Cain onward needed to be avenged. Instead of killing all of humanity like at the time of Noah and the Flood, Elohim sent His Only Son in the form of a human to die and pay the price.
“For the life of the creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your lives—for it is the blood that makes atonement because of the life.” Leviticus 17:11 TLV
Only bloodshed can pay for bloody sins. Only the blood of Yeshua can stop the cycle of bloodshed in this world. This can happen to one person at a time, one act of repentance at a time, and one act of restitution at a time.
Circling back to the innocent preborn babies, our generation of parents must go through a deep repentance, followed by acts of restitution to bring life where death was brought. This will start the healing process of a generation. If the parents of this generation do not repent from killing their babies, a terrible curse of destruction will fall upon this world.
““Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet, before the coming of the great and terrible day of Adonai. He will turn the hearts of fathers to the children, and the hearts of children to their fathers—else I will come and strike the land with utter destruction.”” Malachi 3:23-24 TLV
When I was pregnant with my daughter, there was great pressure on me to abort my baby. I had lost 10 kilos due to constant vomiting. After about 8 weeks of pregnancy, I weighed about 43 kilos. I was so sick that I needed to get IV fluids in the hospital. The doctors and even the father of the baby, my late husband, were all insisting that I must abort. For if not, I might die and even cause deformities in the baby. I was 23 years young at the time, and it took everything in me to oppose my husband and all the medical system. Though I was not a believer in Messiah at the time, my conscience knew that abortion was murder. I succeeded in carrying my pregnancy to term, and my daughter is alive to this day. The problem is that the conscience of many has been seared, not allowing millions of women and their mates to know that abortion is murder. We do not have the right to take the life of an innocent person. Preborn babies are innocent.
The biggest sins of Hamas on October 7 were the murder of Jewish babies and babies in the wombs of Jewish mothers. Unborn babies have done nothing wrong; thus, they are innocent even if they are conceived in sin. My prayer is that the conscience of this generation will wake up, and we will stop the murder cycle for the sake of convenience. Most of the abortions/murders of babies happen because of financial issues. That is putting money above life, and it is idolatry. It is child sacrifice on the altar of Mammon, the god of money.
“But your eyes and your heart are only on your unjust gain, and on shedding innocent blood, and committing extortion and fraud.” Jeremiah 22:17 TLV
Prayer of Repentance
Father in Heaven, forgive me for putting money above life; forgive me for either aborting my baby/babies or for being an accomplice to the murder of the innocent preborn babies. Forgive me for being silent, pretending to ignore it, and for doing nothing to stop it. Help me to lead a life of restitution, bringing life instead of death, and start the healing process in my own life by the power of the Blood of Your Son. In Yeshua’s name. Amen
“and to Yeshua, the Mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks of something better than the blood of Abel. See to it that you do not refuse the One who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the One who was warning them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject the One who warns us from heaven.” Hebrews 12:24-25 TLV
