Torah Portion YITRO – Shemot (Exodus) 18:1-20:23 Haftarah: Isaiah 6:1-7:6
“While I was watching, thrones were set up, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His garment was as white as snow, and the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was ablaze with flames, its wheels a burning fire.” Daniel 7:9 TLV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved,
It is time to look at our modern-day events through ancient eyes. Throughout history, The Almighty has manifested in various forms. In these turbulent End of Times, He is manifesting as The Ancient of Days. We see Him and His Son in the Book of Daniel, and in the Book of Revelation, both of which are prophetic books for our times, and it is all about judgment.
“A river of fire was flowing and coming out from before Him. Thousands of thousands attended Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.” Daniel 7:10 TLV
The books that were opened were the books by which He will judge every person, every nation and deed in our planet. We see more of the story about these books that are being opened in the Book of Revelation.
“And I saw in the right hand of the One seated upon the throne a scroll, written on both the front and the back, sealed with seven seals. I also saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?” No one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it.” The Revelation 5:1-3 TLV
No one could open those books because no one was completely pure, sinless, and righteous enough to proclaim its judgments. But One was found.
“I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. Then one of the elders tells me, “Stop weeping! Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed—He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.”” The Revelation 5:4-5 TLV
This Jewish Lion that was found worthy is none other than the Jewish Messiah, the Son of the Ancient of Days.
“I was watching in the night visions. Behold, One like a Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was brought into His presence. Dominion, glory, and sovereignty were given to Him that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will never pass away, and His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:13-14 TLV
This Son of Man, who has received all the dominion and authority over all the nations, is the Lion of Judah, the Jewish Messiah of the first century in Israel, Yeshua, Son of David. He appeared to His Jewish disciples after His death, burial, and resurrection and told them:
“And Yeshua came up to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Ruach ha-Kodesh (the original probably said “in My name”), teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”” Matthew 28:18-20 TLV
All dominion has been given to Him by The Ancient of Days, the Judge of the universe, that all nations, tribes, and tongues will serve Him. The vehicle to bring the nations into submission was given to the Jewish disciples of the 1st century:
Teach the nations to observe My Commandments.
Unfortunately, all this plan was replaced by the 4th century for a plan concocted in Hell. The Jewish Messiah, the Jewish disciples, and everything Jewish were rejected. Then it was replaced with everything Roman, with enough mixture, with some portions of the Word of God to make it acceptable. The nations fell into the trap of a false messianic religious system, renamed Christian, called Replacement Theology.
Many years have passed, and though Satan, with the help of people, has tried to usurp the throne and the plan of The Ancient of Days, His Master Plan is still in effect, and judgment is looming.
It will be a Jewish Lion that will judge the nations, starting with the Church.
“For the time has come for judgment to begin with the house of God. If judgment begins with us first, what will be the end for those who disobey the Good News of God?” 1 Peter 4:17 TLV
And how do you suppose He will judge churches that reject His Jewishness, His Jewish People, the nation of Israel, His Holy Shabbat, feasts, and commandments? And what about cities and nations that are full of antisemitism and that side with the Palestinian Cause, that is Hitler’s Child, to annihilate all the Jewish People “from the river to the sea”?
“He who sits in heaven laughs! Adonai mocks them. So He will speak to them in His anger and terrify them in His fury: “I have set up My king upon Zion, My holy mountain.” Psalms 2:4-6 TLV
Unless every Christian and Christian church repents of Replacement Theology and any antisemitism, judgment is unavoidable. Unless cities and nations bow down before the Ancient of Days, judgment is unavoidable. He chose His Son to be Jewish; He chose Israel to be His Chosen Nation. He returned His Jewish People to their Ancient Holy Land. And He is watching over His Ancient Covenant with them to possess it in full.
“He remembers His covenant forever—the word He commanded for a thousand generations—which He made with Abraham, and swore to Isaac, and confirmed to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, “To you I give the land of Canaan, the portion of your inheritance.”” Psalms 105:8-11 TLV
And those that oppose Him will be judged in full by the Lion of Judah, Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah. He is the only one with the authority to judge, and He is a Jew.
“For He has set a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness, through a Man whom He has appointed. He has brought forth evidence of this to all men by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:31 TLV
The One who saves us is also the One that judges us. The same Jewish Man, the Son of God is both our savior and our judge.
“And He commanded us to proclaim to the people and to testify that He is the One ordained by God as Judge of the living and the dead.” Acts 10:42 TLV
But those who belong to the Jewish Messiah and love His Chosen Jewish People will be blessed forever.
“But the kedoshim of the Most High will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever—yes, forever and ever.’” Daniel 7:18 TLV
