Torah Portion SH’MINI – Vayikra (Leviticus) 9:1-11:47. Haftarah: 2 Samuel 6:1-7:17
“Therefore, the days are quickly coming,” declares Adonai, “when it will no longer be said. ‘As Adonai lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.’ Rather, ‘As Adonai lives, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had banished them.’ So I will bring them back into their land that I gave to their fathers. Jeremiah 16:14-15 TLV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved.
We are commanded to remember Passover about 150 times in the Bible. Yet this scripture talks about a greater Exodus. The Jewish people from all over the world are coming back home. It’s not going to be easy; there are fishermen, and there are hunters. The fishermen are those believers in Messiah who are assisting in Alyah. There are many Christian Zionist organizations, though not enough doing this. The hunters are the Jew haters, white and Black supremacists, and the “pro-Palestinian cause” Jew-hating people. They chant from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free (of Jews that is). It is a genocidal chant like no other.
So many ignorant and deceived people are flocking to demonstrate against Zionism, the Nation of Israel and Alyah, returning to our Promised Land. What they don’t know is that they are hastening and assisting Alyah. Many Jews are making Alyah because of the rising antisemitism in their nations. Please do not be mistaken; every Christian, in fact, every person in the world needs to stand against Jewish hatred. But our enemies are actually going to obtain the opposite result of their despicable, hateful actions. Israel’s land will increase, moving towards the possession of the entire Promised Land. This will begin to accommodate the massive Alyah of Jews that is coming.
“For your waste and desolate places and your destroyed land will now be surely too small for the inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up will be far away. The children of your bereavement will yet say in your ears, “The place is too cramped for me! Make room for me to settle in.” Isaiah 49:19-20 TLV
The Jew, Israel, and Zionist haters would not fathom in their worst nightmares that they are helping fulfill prophecy. They are the prophesied hunters.
“Behold, I will send for many fishers,” says Adonai, “and they will fish for them. After that, I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down from every mountain and from every hill and out of the clefts of the rocks.” Jeremiah 16:16 TLV
Iran and her proxies and the brutal Hamas from October 7 would not fathom in their worst nightmares that Israelis would wake up to possess their Promised Land. That the outcome of their venomous brutality would actually be the redemption of Israel.
“Oy! For that day is monumental. There will be none like it—a time of trouble for Jacob! Yet out of it he will be saved. So now, do not fear, Jacob, My servant,” says Adonai, “nor be dismayed, O Israel, for behold, I will save you from afar, your seed from the land of their exile. Jacob will again be quiet and at ease, and no one will make him afraid.” Jeremiah 30:7, 10 TLV
The nations are called to partner with the God of Israel for the redemption of Israel. They are called to bring His Jewish People back to the Land.
“Thus says Adonai Elohim: ‘Look, I will lift My hand to the nations and raise My banner to the peoples! They will bring your sons on their chests and carry your daughters on their shoulders. Kings will be your guardians, their princesses your nurses. They will bow down to you with their face to the ground and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am Adonai—those hoping in Me will not be ashamed.” Isaiah 49:22-23 TLV
The nations are called to help rebuild Israel and redeem the land.
“Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will minister to you. For in My fury I struck you, but in My favor I will show you mercy.” Isaiah 60:10 TLV
“Strangers will stand and shepherd your flocks; children of foreigners will be your plowmen and vinedressers.” Isaiah 61:5 TLV
In fact, nations that will not serve Israel will be destroyed.
“For the nation and the kingdom which will not serve you will perish— those nations will be utterly ruined.” Isaiah 60:12 TLV
Partnering with the God of Israel in the restoration of His Jewish people back to their Promised Land is a Divine Call to all nations. Those churches, organizations, and nations that choose to side with the Palestinian cause rather than with Israel will be destroyed. This is a matter of life and death to all nations.
“The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you, and all those who despised you will fall at the soles of your feet. They will call you the city of Adonai, Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Instead of deserted and hated, no one passing through, I will make you an eternal pride, joy from generation to generation. You will also suck the milk of nations and nurse at the breast of kings. Then you will know that I, Adonai, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.” Isaiah 60:14-16 TLV
