Torah Portion VAYAK’HEL – Shemot (Exodus) 35:1-38:20. Haftarah: Ezekiel 36:16-38
Shalom dearly beloved!
The last battle for the establishment of Yah’s (God’s) Kingdom has already begun. This is the time of the disengagement between light and darkness. To be able to separate light from darkness, we must understand and expose Haman. In the book of Esther, where we find the origin of the feast of Purim, the major event in Persia was when Esther, the Jewish Queen, exposed Haman. Had Haman not been exposed, we would not be celebrating Purim today. So, to rejoice and celebrate Purim, we must expose Haman, for we can only take him on after he is exposed. Only by our Heavenly Father’s intervention, through the Mordechais of today, the Esthers of today, and the Jews of today, along with all believers in Yeshua around the world, can we take Haman on and defeat him. We need an understanding of who Haman is so we will know how to pray and act at this time. To begin, let Exodus 17 explain why we’re celebrating Purim:
“Adonai said to Moses, ‘Write this for a memorial in the book, and rehearse it in the hearing of Joshua, for I will utterly blot out the memory of the Amalekites from under heaven.’ Then Moses built an altar and called the name of it Adonai-Nissi. Then he said, “By the hand, upon the throne of Adonai, Adonai will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.” Exodus 17:14-16 TLV

We can see that from generation to generation we are going to have this war with Amalek. On the seventh of October of 2023, after that horrendous massacre by Hamas, we entered battle with Amalek in this generation. This is going to be a battle that will accompany the people of Israel through to the end. So, when people say, ‘Well, we need peace now. We need to have the two-state solution (I call it the two-state deception); we’ve got to make peace with the Palestinians. We’ve got to establish a state for them!,’ this is because they don’t understand that we have a battle with Amalek from generation to generation. Nothing can be done politically to stop that battle with Amalek. The only thing that can be done is to assist Israel in fighting Amalek.
From the book of Esther, we understand that the means of overturning this wicked plan of Haman, to annihilate the Jewish people who were living in exile in Persia at that time, was not that Haman wouldn’t carry out his decree. Rather, it was that the king of Persia gave authority to the Jews to defend themselves and fight to the end. Nothing was going to happen without a fight. I want you to understand this because you’re going to see this theme throughout the entire Bible: Israel must fight.

Therefore, we must ask ourselves where we will stand, whether we are believers or people from the nations. Are we going to stand to support Israel in the fight against Amalek, or are we going to be among those who cause her to stumble and try to pressure her to make all kinds of peace agreements that are not in the Bible? The only thing that such agreements will cause is more bloodshed, both from the side of Israel and from the side of the enemy. Had the Oslo Accords never happened, we would have never had the massacre of October 7th. The massacre happened because of the Oslo Accords and the narrative that the solution for the Middle East is a two-state solution. Instead, I say it is a two-state deception. This misplaced compassion that says, “Give the poor Palestinians a state, give them enough money and pump them up so they will be happy,” proved not only to be unhelpful but also to be counterproductive to achieving peace and stability in the region. They might have been happy because they were receiving billions of dollars in aid from Qatar, the United States of America, the European Union, and, of course, UNRWA, which has been discovered to not only have cooperated with Hamas, but also employed workers who are members of Hamas. In fact, the wicked leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar who was the architect of the October 7th massacre, was a card-carrying member of UNRWA. This card was found on his dead body after an IDF soldier killed him in Rafah on October 17, 2024, the first day of the Feast of Sukkot, one year after the massacre he authored.
So, those UNRWA funds went in, and they thought they would have the Singapore of the Middle East in Gaza. They had their own place, their own government, and their own money;but instead of developing Gaza, they built an empire of terror. The same thing would happen all over Israel if there were a sovereign Palestinian state in the land of Israel. It would become an empire of terror like no other. So, this is the issue. Now we must ask ourselves a critical question: are we going to fight with Israel, or are we going to torpedo Israel? Israel has been fighting on seven fronts against an unrelenting enemy, from Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Judea and Samaria, the Houthis from Yemen, and Iran.

We Celebrate So That We Will Remember
In the book of Esther Chapter 9:1-5 and 20-28, we begin to understand the Feast of Purim and why we’re celebrating Esther’s exposing of Haman to this day.
“Consequently, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month (that is the month Adar), the king’s edict and his law drew near to be carried out. On that day the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, but contrary to expectations the Jews gained the upper hand over those that hated them. Jews assembled in their cities throughout all the provinces of King Ahasuerus in order to lay hands on those seeking their harm. No one was able to stand against them, for fear of them had fallen on all the people. Even all the administrators of the provinces, the officers and governors, and those doing business for the king, helped the Jews, for the dread of Mordecai had fallen on them. Mordecai was prominent at the palace, and his fame spread throughout all the provinces. The man Mordecai was growing ever more powerful. The Jews struck down all their enemies with the sword, killing and destroying, and they did whatever they wished to those who hated them.” Esther 9:1-5 TLV
“Mordecai recorded these events, and he sent letters to all the Jews throughout the provinces of King Ahasuerus, both near and far, urging them to celebrate the fourteenth and fifteenth days of Adar every year as the days when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy, and their mourning into celebration. These were to be days of feasting celebration, and sending presents of food to one another and giving gifts to the poor. So, the Jews agreed to continue the commemoration they had begun and do what Mordecai had written to them. For Haman, son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had schemed against the Jews to destroy them and had cast the pur—that is, the lot—to ruin and destroy them. But when it came to the king’s attention, he issued a written edict that the wicked scheme Haman had devised against the Jews should come back on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. (For this reason, these days were called Purim, from the word pur.) Therefore because of everything in this letter and because of what they had seen and what had happened to them, the Jews established and took upon themselves, upon their descendants, and upon all who joined with them, that they would commemorate these two days in the way prescribed and at the appointed time every year. These days should be remembered and observed in every generation by every family and in every province and every city. These days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor their remembrance perish from their descendants.” Esther 9:20-28 TLV

Notice again where it says, ‘the Jews established and took upon themselves, upon their descendants.’ That’s referring to us, the Jewish people of today; and when it says, ‘upon all who joined with them, ’that’s referring to the nations! We celebrate Purim today because the memories of those days should never fail. We are going to have that battle that will lead to an overturning again and again. We are living in this time when we are continuing this exact same battle. The names have changed a little, but we’re dealing with the same Biblical archetypes today as we expose Haman for who he was and where he comes from. So, we begin to ask these questions:
- Why is it that we have a battle with him from generation to generation?
- How can it be that Haman was so wicked and cruel?
- How can it be that the modern-day Haman, Hamas, is so unscrupulous and cruel and has no conscience?
- How can it be that Hezbollah is in the same situation as Hamas?
- How can it be that such a great majority of the Arabs of Israel rejoiced in the massacre? Even the people who call themselves Palestinians throughout Judea and Samaria and in Jerusalem and the Galilee rejoiced!
- Why would they have liked to take part in it?
- Why is it that people, whom the UN and many others call ‘innocent civilians,’ came out with Hamas to butcher and murder while the UN supported them? They came into the communities and looted and helped to kidnap people! Who are they? Where do they come from? Why don’t they have a conscience?
What I want you to remember from the passage above is the reason we need to celebrate Purim, not only the Jews, but all those who are grafted in like you are throughout the nations, because the remembrance of those days should never fail.

Testimonies from the students:
I was second in command for a nationwide gang, but with the help of YHVH and GRM Bible School, I have begun to denounce that, after 21 years of membership. The enemy has been attacking me because of it. He knows he is losing a warrior, but I fight a different war for a different Master now. – J.M.
I used to be confused and uncomfortable because I didn’t know what to believe. There are so many different doctrines, all going against each other and teaching different things. I now understand the Gospel better and know my faith’s roots. – E.P
