The Silence of Job – Part 2

WBShabbat Letter

The Silence of Job

Torah Portion VAERA – Shemot (Exodus) 6:2-9:35 Haftarah: Ezekiel 28:25 – 29:21

Then Job answered YHVH and said, “Behold, I am insignificant; what can I reply to You? I lay my hand on my mouth. Job 40:3-4

Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved!

The Book of Job is one of the most important books to understand in this End of Times. This powerful recount contains a most effective key that can equip us to be faithful to the end and to receive the Crown of Life.

Continuation from The Silence of Job #1

The Silence of Job

Trust

“Though He slay me, I will hope (and trust) in Him; nevertheless, I will argue my ways before Him.” Job 13:15

We can see that Job trusted and feared Yah so much that even when his wife tried to convince him to curse God, he refused!

Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die!” Job 2:9

In spite of this great trust, Job still thought that he had “something to say” to the Almighty; in other words, he also thought that YHVH was unjust. Job thought to himself, “I am the best servant You have; why are You treating me this way? What have I done to You?

Most people in the world think that they are pretty good and that they “deserve” to be blessed by Elohim. They “expect” God to do them good and His angels to protect them, and when things go wrong or tragedies “hit,” the Almighty is the first to be blamed. Many people cannot accept God’s love and salvation through Yeshua because they have become judges of Divinity. They judge God (if He exists, they say) day and night. They have a very clear sense of “justice” of what He should or should not do, and how He should run the world. Meanwhile, people are dying every day and going to hell because of their own pride, thinking that they know better than God Himself.

The Silence of Job

All of us, like sheep, have gone astray; each of us has turned to his own way, but YHVH has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him (Yeshua). Isaiah 53:6

While the “experts” are busy judging God or arguing whether to blame the Almighty or the devil for the world’s woes, with personal tragedies and global catastrophes, people are dying
every day and will spend eternity separated from the God they are judging. And that is because of their own pride and because they have judged the Creator according to their own standards; however, His standards are absolute. There is absolutely none that can meet them, and therefore, there is not one that is just before Him. That is the reason why Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah, died on a terrible cross 2000 years ago, because without His Blood we cannot be justified; it
does
not matter how good we are in our own eyes.

As it is written, “THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE. Romans 3:10

Testing

And what about us, His faithful servants? Do we deserve to suffer like all the rest of the “heathen”? After all, we are already born again; we are already in the New Covenant.

It is the same for all, there is one fate for the righteous and for the wicked, for the good, for the clean and for the unclean, for the man who offers a sacrifice and for the one who does not sacrifice. As the good man is, so is the sinner; as the swearer is, so is the one who is afraid to swear. Ecclesiastes 9:2

In other words, also those who are His servants may suffer similarly to those who have rebelled against Him. And that is terribly unjust, right? After all, the “Christian God” is good; He will not allow the devil to try us.

Well beloved, where was “the Christian God” when Stephen was being stoned to death? Why didn’t he stop them instead of watching the execution?

The Silence of Job

And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” But they cried out with a loud voice and covered their ears and rushed at him with one impulse. When they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him, and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. Acts 7:56-58

Some people die prematurely because they are unrighteous; some die before time because they are righteous. Some people suffer tragedies because they are under the curse, others because their faith is being tried…

So that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Yeshua the Messiah. 1 Peter 1:7

Does God have the right to test us? Does He have the right to let satan hurt us? Apparently yes. He allowed satan to kill Stephen, and He allowed satan to put the believers in Smyrna in jail. This thought is consistent in the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Covenants. He is, after all, the same God! What can we say then? How can we argue with Him?

Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison so that you will be tested. Revelation 2:10a

Finally, Job went silent.

After 39 chapters, Job learnt the lesson: There is no use in arguing with the Almighty; He is always right and just in all He does or allows satan to do.

Then YHVH said to Job, “Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Let him who reproves God answer it. Job 40:1

Then Job answered YHVH and said, ‘Behold, I am insignificant; what can I reply to You? I lay my hand on my mouth. “Once I have spoken, and I will not answer; even twice, and I will add nothing more.. Job 40:2, 3

It took Job 39 chapters to find out that man is insignificant; that’s a lot of pride and self-righteousness! Job’s faith had to be purged of self-righteousness. His pride and self-righteousness were blocking the true knowledge of God. Some of the best servants of God, and in fact all of us today, need to be purged and purified from hidden pride and self-righteousness.

The Silence of Job

Then Job answered YHVH and said, “I know that You can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted. ‘Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’ ” Therefore, I have declared that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. “Hear now, and I will speak; I will ask You, and You instruct me.'” I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You; therefore, I retract, and I repent in dust and ashes. Job 42:1-6

It is high time that we knew that without Him, we are nothing. He has to test our faith until we shine as gold! That is why judgment must begin in the House of the Lord.

For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:17

Stay Faithful unto Death and Receive the Crown

Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelation 2:10b

However, as we, the faithful ones, are tried in order to shine as gold, beware you that have judged the Creator as unjust and because of your suffering, you have rejected His great salvation. For those who do not believe in Him and reject the Gospel of Messiah, Yeshua will be judged next, and where will you spend eternity if you are busy judging the One who has the power to save you or send you to hell? For Elohim-God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (Yeshua!). John 3:17, 18

And for those who are suffering many trials now and whose faith is being tested, be encouraged with these eternal words:

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but YHVH delivers him out of them all. YHVH redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned. Psalms 34:19-22

There is eternity before us; let us run the race without wavering, completely trusting our Father, who is also a Righteous Judge. Job received a double portion of blessing at the end of his terrible hardship, and we know that the Lord is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him and stay faithful in obedience to Him, regardless of the circumstances.

    Testimonies from the students:

I was second in command for a nationwide gang, but with the help of YHVH and GRM Bible School, I have begun to denounce that, after 21 years of membership. The enemy has been attacking me because of it. He knows he is losing a warrior, but I fight a different war for a different Master now. – J.M.

I used to be confused and uncomfortable because I didn’t know what to believe. There are so many different doctrines, all going against each other and teaching different things. I now understand the Gospel better and know my faith’s roots. – E.P

I have been wrong all my life, but now I understand what God wants from me! – R.D.
