Torah Portion PINCHAS – Bamidbar (Numbers) 25:10-30:1 Haftarah: Jeremiah 1:1-2:3
“For who among men knows the things of a man, except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way, no one knows the things of God except the Ruach Elohim.” 1 Corinthians 2:11 TLV
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved,
Few grasp the profound work of the Ruach within us. It is not only goosebumps, healings, and signs and wonders. All those are great and important, but above all is His work inside of us, the unseen work.
“Therefore, my loved ones, just as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence—work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For the One working in you is God—both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13 TLV

This is a three-fold process that requires our surrender:
He breaks us, He bandages us, and then He nourishes our souls. Often, these three parts of the process happen simultaneously in different parts of our lives and souls.
“Come, let us return to Adonai. For He has torn, but He will heal us. He has smitten, but He will bind us up.” Hosea 6:1 TLV
But if we insist on bandaging and nourishing ourselves with our own devices and self-comfort, we will hinder Him, and the process will be much longer. The best is to constantly surrender to His Ruach in every situation, as uncomfortable as it may be, and pray for His discernment, not your own understanding of the situation. Be grateful for every breaking. This is the secret for a truly and meaningfully anointed life.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways.” It is a declaration of Adonai. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without having watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to sow and bread to eat, so My word will be that goes out from My mouth. It will not return to Me in vain but will accomplish what I intend and will succeed in what I sent it for.” Isaiah 55:8-11 TLV

Declaring His rhema word into each situation we encounter helps us to stay stable and to agree with His good plans.
“For I know the plans that I have in mind for you,” declares Adonai, “plans for shalom and not calamity—to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 TLV
Often, we get angry when things do not go the way we wanted or envisioned. We get upset when there are seemingly delays and setbacks. We fail to see that He is at work in us to break the control of the soul in our life and to release our spirit from captivity.
“It is good for me that I was afflicted, so that I may learn Your decrees.” Psalms 119:71 TLV
When you have a strong desire that you think you must fulfill at all costs, even at the cost of manipulating, you need to stop and surrender it to the Ruach. Yes, let it go and pray: If it is Your will, Abba, bring it forth, and if not, I am fine also. Do not get soulfully attached to anything or anyone. Remember that the soul seeks to dominate your life. You have the power to say NO to your soul and YES to your spirit. You must rule your soul and every desire in it. The soul always thinks, “I am right, I deserve it, I need it.” The Ruach says, “You only need Me; without Me, you can do nothing, and you should do nothing.”
For even if the soul gets her way, it will not be fruitful and will not be a blessing in the end. Relinquish to Yah all your personal desires. Ask Him to put His desires in you. Do not figure Him out. His desires for you are out of your “mind box.” The battle of wills is the biggest battle we fight: His will or ours, His desires or ours, His ways or ours? This is an ongoing battle; that is why He needs to break us so He can bring our soul to be one with His Spirit. When our soul is one with our spirit and His, then we are in Shalom. No meds or psychology can bring you to this kind of shalom. This is the work of the Ruach when we surrender and put the soul under the dominion of our spirit man. His Holy Spirit is in our spirit man.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but powerful through God for the tearing down of strongholds. We are tearing down false arguments and every high-minded thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Messiah.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 TLV
I often command my thoughts, will, emotions, dreams, and desires to be captive to Yeshua. King David used to command his soul. We should do so, too.
“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why are you murmuring within me? Hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, the salvation of my countenance.” Psalms 43:5 TLV

His Spirit is in our spirit and is desiring to rule our lives. However, our soul is forceful and demanding and tries to take over. The only way to solve this power struggle is to use our self-will to surrender to the Ruach HaKodesh on purpose, especially when the soul is forceful and demanding.
“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you might be blameless and innocent, children of God in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation. Among them, you shine as lights in the world.” Philippians 2:14-15 TLV
The soul claims “to have rights”; it complains that things are “unfair.” The Spirit says, You have relinquished your rights to Me.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9 TLV

He calls us His possession, and He can do with us as He pleases. If we surrender to His three-fold process, we will know that without Him we can do nothing, and it shall be well with us.
I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me, you can do nothing.” John 15:5 TLV
The only way to keep on abiding in Him is to constantly surrender to the Holy Spirit in every situation, and especially when our soul is screaming. Remember that the soul is very demanding. It takes the breaking of its power for it to become one with the spirit. Such breaking can be done by Yah alone. We cannot do it ourselves. We are only called to surrender and to keep believing in His goodness and His Promises in the midst of breaking.
“But He gives greater grace. Therefore, it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Therefore, submit to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Jacob (James) 4:6-7 TLV
It is when we surrender that we experience His grace to endure and stay the course. We keep obeying Yah even when we are broken. Remember that He will bandage and restore you after the breaking. None of it is by your hand, no matter how much you “spin your wheels.” Our job is to surrender and to believe, and then we keep on doing His will.
“Then they said to Him, ‘What shall we do to perform the works of God?’” Yeshua answered them, “This is the work of God, to trust in the One He sent.” John 6:28-29 TLV
“Now, without faith it is impossible to please God. For the one who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 TLV
Those who choose to keep letting the soul rule will not be able to be of much use to His Kingdom. Their anointing will be very thin, if any.
“For the mindset of the flesh is hostile toward God, for it does not submit itself to the law of God, for it cannot. So those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:7-8 TLV

We are called to walk in the Spirit; then, our obedience will be anointed. The outflow of His Holy Spirit in our spirit will touch many by our very presence, sometimes even without a word. Then our conversation will be a flowing brook of life bringing salvation, hope, and healing to many.
“For what was impossible for the Torah—since it was weakened on account of the flesh—God has done. Sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as a sin offering, He condemned sin in the flesh— so that the requirement of the Torah might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Ruach.” Romans 8:3-4 TLV
When we are in agreement with Him, the impossible becomes possible, and His kingdom comes as we unite under His will.
Let us pray:
“I know, Adonai, Your judgments are just. In faithfulness, You have afflicted me. May Your lovingkindness comfort me, according to Your promise to Your servant. Let Your tender mercies reach me; let me live, for Your Torah is my delight.” Psalms 119:75-77 TLV

Israel has been afflicted since October 7, 2023, and she is learning to surrender to the will of Yah, not to divide the Land He promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This has been a very painful lesson that is releasing the spirit of the Jewish People from captivity to the demands of the nations. The spirit of Israel used to be like a faithful dog to the demands of the UN, the USA, and the world’s system to make peace at all costs. It is now rising like a lion to show that her God reigns and His Word stands forever.
“In that day Adonai will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem so that the weakest among them that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Adonai before them.” Zechariah 12:8 TLV
Israel is broken, but it is also being bandaged and nourished by her Elohim and by our prayers.
Come, let us return to Adonai. For He has torn, but He will heal us. He has smitten, but He will bind us up.” Hosea 6:1 TLV
The outcome of this is the biggest Aliyah, awakening, and revival the world has ever seen.
“Then I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication, when they will look toward Me whom they pierced. They will mourn for him as one mourns for an only son and grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for a firstborn.” Zechariah 12:10 TLV

The Messiah is being revealed to Israel and is especially doing this among the Orthodox Jews. His time of return is near. The judgment of the nations is at the gate of many.
“It will happen in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” Zechariah 12:9 TLV
Unprecedented things are happening in Israel as an outcome of the terrible breakings. The spirit of Israel is being restored!
I Am Israel Ministries reports:
Something unprecedented—something historic—is happening in Israel right now.Over the past two weeks, Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount have been allowed to openly sing, dance, pray, and worship God across the entire compound. This marks a dramatic shift in the long-standing “status quo,” where Jews (and Christians) were arrested for praying.
Under new instructions, Israeli police have been directed to allow open Jewish prayer and singing throughout the entire site. This is the first time in nearly 2,000 years that such freedoms have been granted on Mount Zion.
Let that sink in—this has not happened since the days of the Apostles.
Only those who have surrendered to His breaking will be fully usable for His glory.
Let us pray:
Do your work in me, YHVH. I choose to stop resisting Your spirit; I choose to stop resisting the changes that are coming. I repent and return to You in full surrender.
I also pray for Israel to be bandaged and nourished after the many breakings these past two years, and for your good plan for her to come to pass in full. In Yeshua’s name.
“For I consider the sufferings of this present time not worthy to be compared with the coming glory to be revealed to us. For the creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of God.” Romans 8:18-19 TLV

Testimonies from the students:
I was second in command for a nationwide gang, but with the help of YHVH and GRM Bible School, I have begun to denounce that, after 21 years of membership. The enemy has been attacking me because of it. He knows he is losing a warrior, but I fight a different war for a different Master now. – J.M.
I used to be confused and uncomfortable because I didn’t know what to believe. There are so many different doctrines, all going against each other and teaching different things. I now understand the Gospel better and know my faith’s roots. – E.P
I have been wrong all my life, but now I understand what God wants from me! – R.D.
