Torah Portion VAYERA – Beresheet (Genesis) 18:1-22:24 Haftarah: 2 Kings 4:1-37
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’ Leviticus 17:11
Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved,
For as many years as I have known Yeshua, I have been seeking YHVH about the Gospel. Most of the explanations seem to be so superficial that when it comes to giving them to Jewish people, they resonate as empty and hollow. The words are right, but the depth of revelation and understanding is not there. The following unveiling of the true Gospel was given to me by revelation as I found myself talking to a very precious young Israeli man. He is a brilliant young man with an obvious call as a prophet, but he does not know Yeshua. In the course of a long conversation, he asked me a question: Can you explain the word BARA (create) and the word NETSACH (eternity) to me? This young Israeli knows much about Christianity, and he is a walking encyclopedia of Jewish history, the Bible, the Talmud, and much more. We connected very well, as we could talk about the entire universe, and it seems that he knows about everything, but he does not know Yeshua. I know Yeshua, and Yeshua knows everything else.
As I proceeded to tackle the question, the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), whose job is to lead us into all truth, began to pour out revelation! Even though technically I had known the meaning of both words, I discovered as I spoke to this Israeli that I had only known superficially. Once the depth unfolded, I found myself in awe at both the simplicity and the depth of the Gospel. YHVH’s plan of redemption is contained within the word BARA—CREATED.
BARA- ברא
Bereshit Bara Elohim. In the beginning God created…. Bereshit (Genesis) 1:1
The Hebrew letters Beit and Resh—BAR (בר)—mean “son.” The letter Alef (א) represents Adonai; it also implies the words “mighty” and “champion.” So the word BARA, or “created,” implies the story about the Son of Adonai (God), who is a Mighty Champion. It also implies the existence of His Son, with whom He created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them, including Adam. However, the word BARA, “created” or “to create,” is very different from the word YATSAR, “to form and to fashion,” that is mentioned in Bereshit (Genesis) Chapter 2.
Then YHVH Elohim formed (Yatsar) man (Adam) of dust from the ground (Adama), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man (Adam) became a living being. Genesis 2:7
“Yatsar” (to form) comes from the word YETSER, which means imagination. So Yatsar means to give form to the picture that is in one’s imagination! Adam was in YHVH’s imagination, and He gave form to the existing picture in His mind! That is why what we think and imagine is so important, because what is in our minds will eventually become reality in the material realm.
We are told that after the creation act was finished, Elohim rested (Shabbat). However, there was no garden and no Adam to till the soil.
Now no shrub of the field was yet in the earth, and no plant of the field had yet sprouted, for YHVH Elohim had not sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man (Adam) to cultivate the ground (Adama). Genesis 2:5
In other words, creation took place in the mind and divine imagination of the Creator after He spoke the DAVAR (word), but there was no manifestation. Existence happens in the Spirit (mind, imagination) before it happens in the natural! That is why it is so important to proclaim the Word of Yah (God) over all our circumstances of life, even when it seems that it is not working. Something is being created in the spirit, and at the appointed time, it will also manifest in the natural.
However, Genesis 2 also tells us that there was soil or earth, which is called in Hebrew “ADAMA,” but where did this soil (adama) come from? And why did Elohim use that particular material to form Adam?
ADAMA
The words “ADAM” and “ADAMA” are almost the same. Both of them carry the word DAM, which means BLOOD.
אדם-אדמה
The letter Alef (A) that precedes the word DAM (blood) denotes a state of being. In other words, “being in the blood” equals ADAM. It also denotes the word Adonai; in other words, Adam is able to exist in the blood of Adonai. Adam has no earthly existence without the blood of Adonai. He is created in the spirit, but in order to become flesh, he needs the blood of Adonai.
The word “Adonai” (אדוני) is a plural form of the word “ADON,” which means “master”. Adonai means “my masters” (plural), implying more than one master but in total unity, in one (Echad). The word ELOHIM (The Creator) is also in plural form from the word EL. It denotes unity in plurality.
Adam becomes flesh and is formed by the Blood of the Masters, Creators, implying at least two that are involved in the act of formation and creation!
While He had not yet made the earth and the fields, nor the first dust of the world. “When He established the heavens, I was there, then I was beside Him, as a master workman; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him, rejoicing in the world, His earth, and having my delight in the sons of men (Adam). Proverbs 8: 26-27, 30-31
Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son’s name? Surely you know! Proverbs 30:4
ADAMA אדמה– contains the word DAM (blood), just like Adam. The letter Alef is just like Adam, but it has an additional letter, the letter HEI (HA) ה‘. This letter is the letter used in order to write YHVH in Hebrew. YHVH means I AM (Constant Being—Always Was and Always Will Be).
So the word ADAMA implies the following:
Adonai’s Blood is the Essence of all Being.

In Hebrew, it says: The SOUL (Nefesh) of the flesh (Basar-Body) is in the Blood.
The essence of Adonai-Elohim-YHVH- The Creator-The God of Adam-the God of Israel is His Blood, and the ADAMA (soil, earth) is actually made of His Blood, and Adam is formed from Elohim’s Blood, His very essence! His Image and Likeness and His own matter, His own Blood! This is no “dirt man”; this is “Blood Man/Woman”—divinely made of the “stuff” that Elohim is made of. However, Adam is a little lower than Elohim, since Adam is created and formed by Elohim—but only a little lower!
What is man (Adam) that You take thought of him, and the son of man (Adam) that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God (Elohim), and You crown him with glory and majesty! Psalm 8: 4, 5
In some translations, it says that Adam is a little lower than angels, but these are wrong, as the first choice of translation for the word “Elohim” is “God the Creator.”
The First ADAM is of the same blood as Elohim, the Creator—that means family—the same genes and chromosomes, attributes, talents, and abilities. But he cannot live until the NESHIMA (Breath) comes into him.
In Hebrew, the word NESHIMA (breath) implies the word Ruach (Spirit or Wind), as the act of breathing generates wind and a movement of the Spirit. When Elohim breathes into Adam’s nostrils, His Breath is also His Spirit.
And breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man (Adam) became a living being. Genesis 2:7b
Later on, we will see the resurrected Messiah, after He gave His life in Golgotha, breathing upon those Jewish disciples who had believed in Him and had been recreated by His Blood into a New Creation.
And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord. So Yeshua said to them again, “Shalom be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” John 20:20-22
So we see that the life of ADAM comes from the interaction between the Creator’s Blood and Breath-Spirit!
The sin turns the ADAMA into another substance.
When Adam, female and male, broke Elohim’s Word and commandment, it affected their substance, their blood!
Cursed is the ground because of you; in toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. Genesis 3:17
The ADAMA (soil) that is the very essence of the Creator, is now polluted and becomes toxic! It goes into bondage to sin and death.
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Romans 8:20, 21
Also, Adam now changes into another creature. Their lives are not “in the Blood and Spirit” of Elohim anymore, but rather “in the flesh.” ADAMA had become “dirty flesh,” perverted, corrupt, and toxic. There will be a need for pure, unblemished blood to purify this dirty flesh to become Holy ADAMA again – Holy Ground!

This purifying, redeeming Blood that can return us to the original state of creation, before the fall into sin and rebellion, cannot be any kind of blood. It has to be the essence of the Creator Himself, with which He created Adam originally. It has to be His own Blood.
And I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls.
